Rorie plays games other than MMOs?! Thanks for this, looks cool. Although I'm more excited for Ruiner as it's got loads of dashing too and has a more appealing world for me.
@brad: Bought this game after watching this QL, and there are TOTALLY secret rooms! If you see a place that looks fishy, try shooting the wall to see if a door opens up (well, not a door, but those anchor-chain-pneumatic tube-thingies).
Here's one I found if you go left instead of right in the room before the first boss:
GiantBomb is a community where this racial stuff is managed in order to foster an inclusive and respectable exchanges of ideas. That said, I must express that the kind of invective racism and casual acceptance of it being plastered all over indiscriminately within the game is disappointing. With this only so much being glossed over and flippantly attributed to be nothing more than contextual nuance in a game sets dangerous example and should be dissuaded at all times. If this racism does not enhance the gameplay or the fun factor of the game in question, and can end up offending and hurting people why bother including it?
Life shouldn't be taken too seriously, yes, but as a victim of racial abuse and discrimination, I must express that life that shouldn't be taken so seriously is unfortunately out of my grasp and the normalcy of how life should be understood.
Just my opinion.
Yup. It definitely makes me question the developer's politics.
People are already getting upset over the racial stuff huh? Yeah it's lame and applied a bit too heavily but I guess that's part of the 'lame 80s cop show that would be terrible today' feel they went for. I dunno, this comment section might combust soon so here's this.
Yikes. It's so tone-deaf to release a videogame about the police and not only ignoring racism when it's set in USA but also dropping racial slurs in a hypocritical manner when you demand others not to take your game seriously.
This game is mesmerising. I played it for two hours straight. Existential jokes, philosophical Alan Watts commentary, and ascending/descending to different levels of being, it's a grand time. I had like 4-5 moments of "WHOA this is mindblowing".
