I started playing the Witcher 1 last year mostly to be ready for Witcher 2, and it ended up becoming one of my favourite games. It's one of the only games I have ever played start to finish without playing anything else in the meantime. (I'm one of those people who play 4-5 games at once). It's also a long game, my first playthrough was about 40 hrs which is not uncommon apparently. Can't wait till April, my PC can't handle Witcher 2 unfortunately.

This is a tiny thing of utter inconsequence, and I realize whiskey are super busy right now, but it'd be nice to get a spiffy logo for the homescreen link as opposed to the tiny thumnbail it uses by default. Unless anyone knows how I can do it myself?

Un chien andalou. Besides that fucking scene (it was obviously fake but the idea...), it was all right. "
That's one of the first things shown in my film studies class. Everyone hates it.

This sounds really lame compared to the stuff everyone else has said, but I can't stand awkwardness in movies. I can handle comedic awkwardness to some extent (i.e UK The Office and Curb), but dramatic awkwardness just kills me. I literally can't watch, I put my head in my hands and ignore the scene. The only movie I can think of recently where this happened was Greenberg, with Ben Stiller. This makes me sound like a fairy but I just can't help it.

I was just listening to the MGS4 edition of the Bombcast, and in it the guys mention that all of them played MGS4 in extended sessions, finishing the game in 2 or 3 sessions. And Jeff said that he stayed up till the early morning just to see it through till the ending. I found this interesting because this is exactly the way I played MGS4, and every game in the series for the first time. MGS2 was especially hard because I had school the next day and the credits didn't roll till 6:30 in the morning, leaving me with a half hour of sleep. But it was totally worth it. I don't normally play games for long periods at a time, it usually takes me a week or two to beat an average length single player game (i.e Uncharted 2 or Bioshock) but for some reason I just have to finish the Metal Gear games as soon as possible. I guess it's due to the strong focus on plot in those games, more so than other games. So yeah, did anyone else play them this way?

I loved COD4 online, but nothing beats having 4 mates around the same TV, so I was disappointed to find that the offline multi appears to be dependent on your online profile for the unlocks. If I choose not to use my online profile, then I can only use the base 5 classes. I don't want to have to get to lvl 70 in the online just so I can use all the stuff in split screen multi. Will this be the case or is there an obvious way around it that I haven't found?

@Hamst3r: Oh man, Rocket Jockey! I got the demo on one of those demo CDs you get with $2 kid's magazines. I played that demo so much. I'm off to see if I can find a shareware version.
