The Fuck Shop is the best realization of 2 Live Crew. Let's sample Van Halen and GNR to make a goofy party rap record about a brothel.
It's very funny to think about all the rustled feathers over 2 Live Crew and then actually listen to all of As Nasty As They Wanna Be now. It's such a one-note novelty record made to make 14 year olds go "OMG he said the sex thing" over and over. Jeff is absolutely right.
Now, Sex Style by Kool Keith, that's a sex rap record that holds up.
Zillion the anime is good. It gets better as it goes along for sure. Once they basically introduce sub-bosses that are part of the narrative, it's great. The episode with Champ where he squares off against one of them is my favorite.
The ending level of Umurangi's DLC is the most important moment of anything in games this year by far. I'm glad I played it with the DLC packaged together. Another aspect that resonated with me was that feeling and fantasy of being the photographer friend among your punk friends. What this game captures about youth and surviving crazy shit is amazing.
The throughline of your crew being there with you as things progress is really amazing. I always made sure to fit in a photo with them.
So much about your relationship to Hades is about living in an abusive household, which you can never take back even you make amends and learn the reasons why. Zagreus makes peace with his dad but his love for his two mothers and extended/chosen family is really the emotional core of that game. There is no way in hell (>.>) that Hades is a good father! Even by the end!
Yusuf Khan and Tony Hawk represent what good dads can be.
