Just like any other critc's business, there will be a majority (not a vast but still) that should be avoided.  That's why you have to be selective and know who's reviewing it.  I find that sampling songs on the internet is the one reason music reviews are the least useful.  Picking out your tastes by sampling is much easier than to scan review sites.

However I've found that due to the one review site I trust (Okayplayer.com) I've discovered and given a try albums that I normally wouldn't consider or even knew existed.  Music reviews have their place as well.

" This is just a superiorly designed, friendlier and more welcoming site.  As much as it sucks that Jeff got fired from his old job, I'm glad this site exists.  Gamespt, IGN: too big, too devoid of personality "
I very much disagree.  If you stick to the website and don't go to any of their features, sure I can see that.  However, if you do, I see just as much personality as I do here.  It just happens that the percentage of the content is more personal like QL's and such.

I still love GameSpot and Giant Bomb equally and I see no good reason to bag on GameSpot.  They are still a great site and both are different enough that they scratch unique itches.

Oh and for the people who don't know the curret HotSpot host is Brenden Sinclair.  Their guests each week rotate between Kevin Van Ord, Tom McShea, Tom Magrino, Lark Anderson, Chris Watters, Sophia Tong, Ricardo Torres, Shaun McInnis, and Justin Calvert.   My favorite podcast changes each week between the HotSpot and the BombCast and both offer different enough features that they rarely overlap.  It's also a treat when they do because then you can see the differing perspectives.

It's sad that all people know or care about GameSpot these days is all the old staff that isn't there anymore either due to Jeff's fallout, or with individuals choosing to move on at various times (Rich Gallup, Carrie Gouskos, Greg Kasavin, Alex Navarro and few more).  Frankly i can never see myself visiting any other site besides GB and GS.

Really refining who I was as an individual.  This is the decade where I came into my own with games, music, science, skepticism, cartoons, comedy all that stuff.

Events are events, those are for history books and sociology studies (which I look forward to doing!).

I took a really good but serious picture.  Very nice, and I'm proud of it.  Also my baby picture is one where I'm smiling with a bowl on my head, striking a pose.  However I don't want the flow to be as a baby = funny/ridiculous, as a senior = super serious skeptic.  I'm a happy middle between the two and I feel like "Ask me about Loom." will be the quote that I can look back years later and know I did the right thing for myself.  In reality, it will only confuse and piss off the right people, so I'll go with that!

I guess I answered my own question in the end lol.  Well I'll still ask kids tomorrow about it but I wrote both that and "Reason obeys..." as well.

Thanks for the input my fellow countrymen!

I just want to ask people what are their favorites out of the ones I posted.  That's all.

85 characters, and I really want people's input on the quotes I provided, because I already did the work of picking the best out of a longer list and making sure they are under the character count.

I'm stuck here with 4 quotes and I can't decide.  I thought I would help to reach out to the GB community.

There they are:

Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?

    • Andrew Ryan

My country is the world, and my religion is to do good.

    • Thomas Paine

Reason obeys itself; and ignorance submits to whatever is dictated to it.

    • Thomas Paine

Ask me about Loom.

    • Cobb

Since we have a character limit, my favorite quote which is by Carl Sagan is too long so I unfortunately can't include that.

I guess I made the distinction between weed smokers and pot heads.  Weed smokers are like cigarette smokers, they just happen to smoke marijuana.  Pot heads are the dopes that give the rest of the smokers a bad name.  They're the idiots with names like B1untRo11erNYC420.

I can't really speak about that because I wanted to avoid spoiling the game for myself :)
