Top Games of 2016

I seem to be playing fewer games lately and definitely don't "finish" as many games as I used to. Sometimes I think that following games has become more of my hobby than actually gaming. But then I look at the 800+ hours Steam says I've been running Fallout 4 and I guess I see what's happened here... Here's the games I played that I bought in 2016. Some came out in late 2015, but I didn't get them until 2016 (Just be glad I didn't put Fallout 4 on here. I'm still working on the DLC in 2017!). Here's my top 10 of 2016:

  • I found this game downright spooky. If you go in to a cave and find a spot where reality is broken, leave it the fuck alone!

  • Peaceful, serene, relaxing, downright neat. I still like to load it up and display the "meditations" for a virtual aquarium.

  • Just F'n beautiful.

  • How this game progresses: Creepy, Creepier, The Creepiest!

  • Came out late 2015, But I started and completed it in 2016. Cool game.

  • It's 2016. Ready for some more Gears of War? Yeah, I'll bite.

  • Party games everyone loves.

  • Fun party game. To bad I don't have friends.....

  • What is Firewatch? Completed this game. I still dunno. It looks pretty.

  • Played this on iOS as 99 bricks. It's pretty good with controllers.

  • Honorable mention this year goes to Civ 6. I played through a few times but there are problems with the game. I meant to go back to Civ 5 until they ironed out the AI (still broken?) but too many games, too little time...
