Inside is Playdead's follow-up to 2010's indie-puzzle game Limbo. Playdead revealed the game at E3 2014 and released it on Xbox One June 29th 2016, on Steam July 7th, and on Playstation 4 August 23rd.
Inside begins similarly to Limbo in that the player controls a small boy running through a wooded area with a limited color palette. The child protagonist must evade capture from various enemies, control zombie-like entities to solve puzzles, and journey through industrial environments that become increasingly littered with horrific elements before eventually making a terrible, life-altering discovery.
There are 14 hidden light orbs scattered across the environment that enable a hidden ending for the player if found.
