The 2006 Dodge Charger Police Interceptor i've made at the Top Gear Circuit. I love how realistic the car models look, the only thing that breaks it are the rims.
@Renahzor: this is how it worked in Forza 3 as well right? Do you know if there is a way to tell which circuit and which class you still need to post a clean lap for, to get the overall time down?
@KamikazeCaterpillar: I usually use the bumper cam, but i do like using the cockpit view, its just that i feel i´m faster using the bumper cam. The lack of cockpit views in GT5 goes back to one of the worst desicions Polyphony made; having both Standard and Premium cars.
To those who didn't read the thread and just want to comment, the OP is making fun of this protest, not supporting it. Battlefield 3 comes out on the 28th so, no thanks :P
Same thing i was going to post; i'll be on the Battlefield on the 28th!
Posting in internet forums reminds me of Saw. Most users I encounter is a brutal contraption. But if you believe that Forza 4 reminds you of Saw, then maybe I should try this out? Oh wait, I don't own a 360, but there is GT5, should I try that out? I need something else to remind me of Saw. Who wants to be my little helper? =)
Some people would say playing GT5 is like torture :P
@KamikazeCaterpillar: i think Polyphony patched in basic cockpit views for all standard cars in the 2.0 patch. Either that or its still coming...
Anyway i bought both GT5 and Forza 4 at launch and i played a lot of GT5 since its release. When i first started to play GT5 i really couldn't find any of the brilliance GT fans were always talking about (GT5 being the first GT game i actually own). The flaws at launch were numerous but having said that, Polyphony did do its best to patch a lot of the issues. I haven't tried out the 2.0 patch myself, since i've been to busy playing Forza 4 but its good to see Polyphony keeps updating GT5 even almost a year after launch. And if you take GT5 for what it is; a driving game, thats its strongest point! The driving in GT5 feels great, but the rest of the game surrounding that great aspect, feels really unpolished and not at all thought out (which is unfortunate for a game that was what, 5 years in production?). Playing GT5 online is great although the options were slim in the beginning. And although the patches are great, it makes me kind of angry with the game; why wasn't most of that stuff there at launch? I'm talking about basic menu shortcuts and other funtionality.
Jumping into Forza 4 (only a week ago) felt like a breath of fresh air. Like everything was thought of and was easy to find and use. The graphics are much improved over Forza 3, like almost all aspects of the game. And the driving feel? Something GT5 gets a lot of credit for, feels really good in Forza 4 as well! I can't really say which one is better, i would need to play a lot more Forza 4, but i feel its a lot closer this time around! So if i had to pick one game i would pick Forza 4, its clearly the better game. But GT5 has much improved from the game that was released late last year and if you just look at the driving; both games do a great job at that!
