What about a game where you get to kill the lazy monster husband? Capcom should either make that or a spinoff: Monster Carpooler.

yes, I don't know why anyone would play it on the PC but there is. "
I planned on buying it on PC until the DRM was announced.   As a result I've yet to play AC2. "
Ditto.

I might buy and crack just so i don't have to be connected all the time, my internet has been dodgy as of late.

I don't think that 3d should or should not exist, but to say that it should be a must for all movies is kinda silly. It's similar to how CG is the current standard for most monster/disguise special effects. In some cases hand made special effects and makeup could serve the purpose just as well if not better, but CG is used not to further the quality of the film, but because it is advantageous and easy to advertise with. I've enjoyed CG 3d movies, like Up, where the 3d was used to accentuate the large scale landscapes, but I don't need 3d in Burn After Reading or No Country for Old Men. Even when the technology for 3d is perfected it should still only be used where needed. When 3d is used as a tool in a director's arsenal and not just a gimmick to fill seats, I think it can be effective.

I dunno about Spidey (It'd be a shame if they left him out), but Cap is almost definitely in. Check the cover art, lower right corner, next to the silhouette of Felicia. Those definitely look like the classic wings. The question is whether it's Bucky Cap AKA Hand gun Captain America, or classic Steve Rogers Captain America.

The only thing that really bugs me is the hair in the cover art. There's too much spiky hair, Ryu has a spiky 'fro and the hulk just looks stupid as hell.Looking at the cover there's definitely a similarity between this and TvC in terms of models, but the effects and shaders will give it a more comic-y look. Of course that means different things for different comics, even within Marvel's mainstream universe, Captain America is drawn much differently than Spiderman which is different than Wolverine. I suspect there will be a lot of stark black shading to mimic the inked look. I hope the trailer movement means a return to more dynamic stages like in early versus games, where you could break through the floor and whatnot.

As for 2d graphics, Capcom has never really gone as far as Vanillaware did with Odin Sphere or Muramasa in terms of super high res art. I would love a 2d Capcom game of that level, but with games like Viewtiful Joe and Mega Man X, it seems they've really decided to stick with stylized 3d models for their 2d games

Not a big fan of the spikey haired ryu from TvC, the main promo poster looks lame but the character art is awesome, but I digress NEW MvC! GET HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE!!!!

PS. Hope there is a pc release, all that MT Framework stuff (DMC 4, RE5, Lost Planet, etc.) runs amazingly on PCs, it's the best optimized engine for Console/PC games ever!

Okay they're not printing manuals, does that mean the game will be cheaper? They're just saving a bunch of money not having to print that stuff, and that's the only thing they care about. It's pretty false for them to try to spin this as anything but a method of cutting per unit costs. I personally like physical manuals, they're fun things to just bust open and read, and sometimes I will carry a manual with me to learn a bit about the game.

Reading through these comments raised some salient points. First, most tutorials suck. They all try to work it into the gameplay, but it is always a slow boring intro to a game, especially if you played a demo beforehand. Just Cause 2 had a lame tutorial section when all i wanted to do is just go crazy from the start. Most people read faster than they pace tutorials. Make tutorials separate! Second, some genres benefit from manuals more than others. Opening a fighting game manual to read move lists (all of them anyway) is faster than opening the menu and it's something you can do away from your machine. Rpgs can put a lot of lore into the manual that I don't have to sit and read on my screen when I should be playing the game. Strategy games always have tech trees and detailed cost info. Third, in most every game there is a GUI widget that does not show it's use, and that's when you turn to the awesome GUI description page with the lines and text labels. "Oh so that's what that Blaz Blue bar does!" Or maybe "That's why there are flies circling Agent York!" Finally, the fact that manuals suck now is the fault of the company not the idea of manuals themselves. MGS2 had an awesome mini comic right in there! I doubt that the same effort would go into an electronic only manual. I know manuals going digital doesn't equal the death of manuals, but for some reason I get that feeling. Maybe that's just me hating change, but this whole thing smacks of "how can we save money on our games?" I bet they'll just start linking to videos of the in-game tutorial on youtube.

@ReefTrigger:

I got the fiddler reference, I just wasn't sure how it applied. Love me some fiddler on the roof, especially  If I Were a Rich Man (not the Gwen Stefani bastardized version).

@nintendmoe:
Dude you just saved my life bro! Thanks for the heads up. It also allows you to install the games through steam if you want. I think they should continue to offer this.

I was bummed out by this, because I always buy the games through telltale themselves. You're only eligible for the tf2 stuff (which I would love) if you buy it through steam. However, preordering through telltale nets you a dvd release when the game is done, so I probably would've chosen that version anyway. I just wish there was a way for me to get Max's Luger for the scout. It's soooo awesome! Also, I'm not sure what you mean by tradition, they've already put in a promotional item, bill's hat, and they now have community items being added too.

Truly this is the age of reinventing franchises by dumbing them down and pissing on (and off) the fans.
