If you can get 4 for cheap get it. It's got some different mechanics and might tide you over until Civ 5. With fewer sides and no stacking I image Civ 5 will be pretty different combat wise.
At least all the art in Braid is made for that definition. It's all new. And Braid is a much longer game than this. Also they don't have to design a bunch of monsters, characters and bosses from the ground up. All that work is done already with a bunch of concept art. All they had to do is get artists in to redo it at a higher res. Right now all you're playing for is 6 dungeon maps and some networking code.
Well, it really is.  The sprites are very detailed and smoothly animated, not to mention the backdrops of the levels are full of detail.  Also, I want to contend with everyone calling the graphics "old school".  The majority of the sprites in this game are ripped from the more recent DS games, games that have come out in the past 5 years.  It's been 2 years sense Order of Ecclesia, are we really at the point of calling a 2 year old game "old school"?  Anyway, great review, really sums up the way I personally feel about the game. A DS is not high res. Using those sprites will not look as nice on an HD TV as they would on the DS. They should've made HD sprites. If you've played any of the Vanillaware games like Odin Sphere, Muramasa or GrimGrimoire, you'd know that 2D art can look fantastic on a TV, and those games aren't even hd. I think that just up resing the sprites from a portable game, or even a ps1 game is a valid complaint.
Wouldn't his tattoo actually show the faces of the brothers he loved so much, rather than just the helmets?
Anyway I'm a big fan of Epic's "we don't give a shit about this character so lets let the fans decide what happens to him" design for characters in games. Too bad I also don't care.
Is there a way to turn all that friend request messaging off? I thought the whole point of Bnet was that stuff is always going, but I guess I was wrong. I know you can set your status to away, but if a dude logs in it'll still pop up and disqualify you. Anyway it sounds cool. You have to take stuff like this seriously. Even knowing what build order an opponent is doing is enough to give you a huge advantage if you read their strats well enough. I can see why they wouldn't want messaging and stuff for that very reason.
Mostly space will be boring because of long travel times, but if you just dick around and play games your muscles will atrophy much worse because of the lack of gravity.
Is this pack have all unique guns? One of the older packs had a preorder/digital deluxe/new purchase bonus in it, and it made people who forked out more/earlier than others have a devalued dlc.
Edit: Oh duh, I just read the list there, looks like it's all new stuff.
