@amafi: I tried that but I didn't realise you had to close all the other applications. I really couldn't be bothered doing that each time just to play Fallout so I'll just use my 360 controller. I found it! Had it stored in a random bag in a random cupboard.... but it seems like this might happen in other games too for a while so I guess I'll keep within reach for a while longer.

Ugh, this is ridiculous. It's like the button mapping changes randomly every time I start the game. I've been playing AC Unity and Galak-Z and they seemingly had native DS4 support (didn't have to load up DS4Windows and even the button symbols had changed) but Fallout can't even let me play properly with or without DS4Windows. I guess I have to go find where my trusty old 360 controller is.....

@wraithtek: It's understandable though, and it seems like it would have been a really easy thing to make it more obvious that a big download will be required.

In about 5 hours I'll have finished my last exam and I was planning on an impulse purchase of Fallout 4 on my way home but I guess there's no point in doing that any more... I guess I'll be playing this next week sometime now. Thanks for letting me know, I think I'd be just as pissed as you had I found out the hard way. Doesn't really mean much coming from me but sorry you had to go through all that crap!

Selling games on eBay is also pretty easy. Just sell them singly and at a decent buy it now price and have it auto relist if it doesn't sell.

In terms of apps, it'd be cool if there was a place which aggregated all of that but that's essentially just eBay anyway. So I can't really see it being muhc of a big deal.

They have only recently (in the last day or two in Australia) released the document to the public so the real analysis should be coming along soon.

Edit: Adding a link to show that there's still a long way to go before this thing to actually be implemented

It's funny because I totally prefer youtube streaming rather than twitch because twitch streams are pretty much unwatchable here in Australia for my ISP.... and by unwatchable I mean that it's buffering every ten seconds on mobile quality while youtube is perfectly fine at 1080 and 60fps.

I soured on Fallout 3 majorly when I sprinted through the main story because I thought that it's a Bethesda game, of course I can continue playing afterwards....

I'm a sucker for anything fantasy related though so TES is always going to be better for me. I'm probably going to get Fallout 4 because it seems like a cool enough game but I'm definitely going in with low expectations and I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

I'm still using my old 128GB SSD (nothing important is stored on it don't worry) back from when they were $1 per GB here in Australia and I'm so used to it now that it kills me every time I have to load up a computer other than my own. The only problem now is that the size is getting way too small. I just recently installed AC Unity which is 50GB (and by the way I'm actually having fun with, and it seems to run pretty well on max settings at 1080) and it was a reaaaalll struggle to clear up enough space...

I can't help out in this case but your story reminded me of what happened to me around 5 or so years ago.

I had just ordered a new computer after buying the parts separately from this one walk-in store (Australia still has walk-in stores which are just as good as online prices...). Since I bought all the parts from the same story the guy was happy to build the machine and do all the cable management for me for free which was great. I brought the machine home, booted it up and everything was working perfectly. Games were playing fine, browsing and watching videos were fine. But then I started watching Giant Bomb videos and after like 20 minutes in the whole computer would just freeze. Pretty much like a lock up that you'd see in a movie where the monitor becomes this mess of vertical lines and the audio is still being piped out and buzzing like crazy. First time it happened I thought it no big deal, but then it happened again and again and only when watching GB videos. I took the computer back to the store and told the guy I have absolutely no idea what was going on, and the poor guy had to have GB videos playing in his shop for days trying to replicate the problem and consequently problem solve. After a weekend with my computer he figured out somehow that the problem was the motherboard and when he switched it over it started working perfectly.
