I've just finished up with AC Syndicate and it actually is a fun game. I've played all of the major AC games so far and it's the most fun I've had since Brotherhood so I'd definitely recommend giving it a go!
I've jumped on the The 100 bandwagon too. I stayed away from it for ages because I thought it was just some teen drama show but man does it go some places.
I've grown up in Australia my whole life and I've never understood the concept of a bagel. As an outsider looking in, it really just seems like a bun with a whole in the middle. The Beastcast as well as this thread has really made me want to try one though so it looks like I'll have to find a fancy bakery that makes them!
Man I bought two 3DS's. The first one I bought to play Pokemon and then I realised I didn't really want to play Pokemon so I sold it. Then Zelda came out and so I found myself buying a 3DS again.... I did manage to play Fire Emblem and Bravely Default this time as well as Zelda before selling the console yet again because it was gathering dust...
I also really want to buy a WiiU but I'm waiting for the right time/price. Bundles are still around $400 in Australia which is too much for me at the moment when I've still got a few more games to get through on PC.
I think it really depends on if you like fantasy in general.
I've managed to play through worse games (two worlds, risen etc) because I devour pretty much anything in a fantasy setting.
I'll echo what others have said though and that's to not do every side quest so the game doesn't get too boring towards the end. I will add that this game is one of the only ones I can remember that make you feel like a total badass if you choose to be a battle mage (although it does break the game quicker).
I really liked this season as a whole and and it went to some really dark places which was cool. My only problem is that the storyline's are getting more and more convoluted as they go which leads me to just give up trying to understand what's happening and enjoy the ride. For instance in Heaven Sent wasn't every room supposed to revert back to it's original form each time, why was room 12 not a part of that? It was probably explained somewhere in that episode but I was already kinda bored at that point.
Clara really growed on me as a character this season too and it's probably the only season where she hasn't just been annoying in every episode.
@gutterkisserand @shiftymagicianWoah, including me that makes three whole people in Canberra that can recognise the VinnCo shirt I wear around town every now and then!
@starvinggamer: They actually did cast an Indian actor (Irrfan Khan) for The Martian but there was some scheduling conflict or something. I think I read that over on Birth.Movies.Death (which in my opinion is like the Giant Bomb of movies)
Also it's cool to see stuff like this get more awareness. Master of None is a great show that's also trying to highlight the reason stuff like this might be happening.
And yea, this movie, like 300 and the recent Transformers movies, is probably going to be a guilty pleasure for me (@jakob187 I'll definitely be in that theatre with you!)
In Australia it's not really something that's policed all that much. People get fines and stuff in busy sections of the various cities and there's been talk about enforcing it a whole lot more since there's been something like 50 easily preventable deaths occurring in the last year in Sydney because of it. But it's one of those things, how do you stop people from being stupid?
