I get that abby buy/sells used games when she was unemployed but still doing sounds bad.
Why would that be bad? What.
Well it could be argued that someone who enjoys games as a hobby and has a job/career covering the games industry, like @ybbaaabby, benefits from the video game industry being successful. And that buying/selling used games results in developers/publishers not receiving a portion of those sales, which results in them having lower profits and less resources to invest in future projects which hurts the industry as a whole.
It's the same thing as every other games journalist getting a flagged steam account to play any game for free. They ain't paying for it. She's talking about the games she plays so it's free publicity in her case.
I have grown to truly despise Dan. This need of his to bring out this heel persona in every series is obnoxious and loathsome. The beauty of the idea of this series is that it is supposed to be a real challenge for each person, and Abby and Alex at least took their turns seriously. Dan would rather play it up as a goof in a manner so transparent that's it's obvious he's not playing in good faith. I don't care about the result of the mission if the manner in which it's played is totally insincere.
I'm not watching anymore videos that heavily feature Dan, and I'm starting to rethink my premium membership.
The good news is that Heel Dan is the funniest thing on Giant Bomb since Creeper Cam Jeff!
Given that Dan hasn't played this game since release and got handed the hardest mission played yet, I think he did ok, some dumb decisions not withstanding.
Never construed of these commentary tracks as bundled blu ray commentary tracks but more like Mystery science theater rifftrax. Zero expectation of cogent movie analysis. It's going for a completely different thing. Also, these movie commentaries are hands down the best feature on this site for me. Keep up the good work.
You are correct, but there is a difference from their F&F commentaries where they're...you know, watching and joking about the movie, and this one where it felt like they were actively ignoring it.
I'm gonna go ahead and bet that their They Live commentary gets sidetracked to hell into obscure wrestling talk for 90 minutes then BAM! "Why is that dude banging an alien?"
This video was by far the worst the site has to offer. I love 99% of the content on this site but I'm sorry, this was pure shit. I don't know what's going on but every video with Rorie now a days is derailed with him talking absolute shit and he even comments saying that he annoys people when he talks shit but continues to do so?
I think you mean Blue Bombin'. At least this series somewhat acknowledges the fact that they are disinterested in what's going on on screen. On bombin' it's painfully obvious there is nothing interesting happening, so they spark up water cooler chit-chat. I'll take Rories insanity over game of thrones recaps any day of the week.
