My ancestors also worked for their citizenship, why do I have to be treated by this law worse then you? Why do you get to say, that's okay. When you aren't even being effected by it.

This is why journalists exist. To protect people like me, from people that think like you.

@TwoOneFive: That's pretty insensitive for someone that probably doesn't have to deal with racial stereotypes, epitaphs, or reality.

@Ariketh: You can't simply say it isn't a racially biased law and think we're gonna believe you or that you actually believe that.

I gave you an example of how RACE is intrinsically involved. I understand how you "believe," race isn't involved because it's not written in a manner in which it actively states Mexicans (or brownies), but who do you believe will be MOST effected by this law. Of ALL American citizens, which RACE do you believe will be negatively impacted by this law the MOST. If ANY RACE is being effected by this more then another, then guess what, RACE IS INVOLVED.

Don't try to remove race because it makes you feel dirty or because you know it's wrong to be racist, but you can't simply say something has nothing to do with RACE when it certainly does. It seems as though your tired of race being so inconveniently involved in all of this, well guess what buddy, it is. Sorry.

I think it's funny how people think this issue could be separated from race. RACE IS THE ISSUE. When this law comes into effect I WILL be harassed while my WHITE counterparts WILL NOT BE. I understand the logic behind the law, but the wording is too vague and is asking to be abused. I don't think conservatives behind this are the people that want these jobs back or would even be willing to work them.   As it has been said in the past , Employeers will have to pay employees more which means they will have to raises prices for their goods or go out of business.  When the corporations choose to simply relocate, where will these precious jobs be? Not in Arizona, that's for sure.

It's disgusting that conservatives are so anti-government for the public's well being when it comes to services for everyone, but are willing to give more power to officers in a way in which they can persecute a whole demographic for a fear only a select few have.

I'm embarrassed to be an Arizonan right now.

I'm also half Mexican so If I get pulled over for no reason when this law comes into effect I'll be even more pissed off. Thanks to racial profiling I've already gotten pulled over once this year for no legitimate reason, the cop openly admitted that because I was Mexican and because I had a duffel bag in my back seat, he wanted to check If I had any drugs. I didn't do anything because it was my first time ever getting pulled over, so I was nervous (and it was scary.) Now this shit is gonna legitimize that behavior. Thanks Arizona!

" Because all women are filthy whores that need to be punished for there...I mean, I'm not sure.   I think of it like a child learning new things. You can tell them that if they touch the hot stove they will get burnt, and they know they will and that it will hurt, but they go ahead and do it anyway because they want to know what it's like. Then once they are all used up, as well as being jaded and angry, us nice guys get to deal with there shit and don't get to do any of the fun stuff because they did it already with captain jack ass who treated them like shit.  At least that's what I once heard a stand up comedian say. I wouldn't know as I have never had a girl friend because I'm still young and have been a "nice guy" my whole life. "

There's so much non-subtle passive aggression in that post that I'm not sure that I believe you when you say,  "I heard a comedian say that." hahaha. Just go and strike out with girls already. It's not that bad, the sooner you learn that, the better. "
I was paraphrasing an old joke I vaguely recalled seeing on TV years ago that I'm sure I butchered. As for the just go strike out thing, I wish it was that easy for me but it's not. To be honest I just have never been really attracted to any girls that have been in my life in that way. Sure there where attractive girls that I would fantasize about, but I never knew any girls that I liked enough to want to date them. I guess there where a couple of them, but they always had boyfriends and I knew they wouldnt give me the time of day ether so I never tried. I guess that makes me one of those stereotypical low self esteem/self deprecating "nice" guys. "
Those girls, the ones with boyfriends are perfect for practice and will help you out if they see you're trying to learn how to be more competent around girls. Hit on them, see what they think is creepy and weird and what they think is "ballsy," their boyfriends might not like it, but as long as you never take it anywhere, whats the problem? I hit on my friends' girlfriends all the time, it made me more competent and their boyfriends will tell you openly, or passively when they don't like it. At that point you stop or you take it down a notch. Plus the confidence you get when their boyfriends do get mad at you will give you confidence to get your own girlfriend.

If you feel unattractive, workout and correct the parts of your body you feel are the problem. I was 260 Freshmen year of highschool. After a few years at a University I slimmed down to 210 and wasn't the most attractive guy, but I was funny and fun enough that I picked up some pretty attractive girls. I only say that because better looking friends of mine were outspokenly upset by it at times.

" Well, girls like nice guys, but they don't like push-overs. If you're with a woman she expects you to stand your ground, and not succumb to her every wish :) "

Yup, I think this is pretty much it. I think their are a number of scientific papers written about this and it has something to do with a woman's genetic inclination to prefer guys that appear as an Alpha Male. Of course it's not all genetic, but I think what that really breaks down to is confidence. Nice guys I know, at least the "nice guy" type the OP is suggesting, tend to bendover backwards for girls. Girls get turned off by this because it suggests a lack of self worth. Guys that come off as jerks prove the opposite because their actions essentially suggest that they can get any girl.

From my own experiences girls just want someone that is playful, someone they can tease and be teased by. Nice guys tend to only get teased. Which is no fun. I know I've had a lot more luck since I've learned how to act like a jerk at key moments. Of course you also have to not-actually be a jerk, cause then the girl will go find someone that you know, isn't a dick.

Learn the balancing act.
