Vita Games ported to PC

I noticed a weird trend of Vita games being ported over to the PC. I wanted to make a list of them as I notice them. I try to keep this list limited to games that have been on Vita for a significant (arbitrary) amount of time before being later ported to the PC and avoid listing games that were simultaneously released on both platforms such as God Eater 2: Rage Burst.

All release dates mentioned are US release dates.

List items

  • Released on Vita: May 3, 2016

Released on Steam: August 10, 2016

Brief thoughts: One of many anime-esque Dungeon RPGs that were released on the Vita. The one standout feature being showing animated characters onscreen during battles, but disappointing in not animating anything else. Did not play much of it.

  • Released on Vita: February 3, 2015

Released on Steam: January 11, 2017

    Not played

  • Released on Vita: May 9, 2016

Released on Steam: October 3, 2016

    Not played

  • Released on Vita: March 29, 2016

Released on Steam: Nov 7, 2016

Brief thoughts: An anime styled game where one trains various girls to fight a boss known as Trillion in a rogue-like battle system. Not my personal cup of tea.

  • Released on Vita: March 31, 2015

Released on Steam: June 25, 2015

Brief Thoughts: A game filling in the void left on the Vita by Monster Hunter. A more arcade-y take on Monster Hunter. It's fun enough for what it is.

  • Released on Vita: November 11, 2014

Released on Steam: November 10, 2016

Brief Thoughts: A rhythm game based on the Senran Kagura series. It has the expected anime butts and boobs exposure associated with the other Senran Kagura games. The music in the game is disappointing since most tracks are instrumentals only and lack any vocals. The few track(s) that do have vocals sound nice. The comedic end of every battle showing the judge's reactions to the dishes are worth seeing once for a fun bit of anime absurdity. Not much to the game but it's fun enough for what it is.

  • Released on Vita: October 14, 2014

Released on Steam: June 1, 2016

Brief thoughts: It's like Dynasty Warriors with an emphasis on exposing anime boobs and butts. It's fun enough for what it is.

  • Released on Vita: August 12, 2014

Released on Steam: May 26, 2015

Brief thoughts: Only tried it out on PC and when I did it kept crashing at random times so I did not get far into it. Combat, characters, and story felt shallow. Might have played through it for the anime if not for the crashes. Recently read that there was supposed to be a patch. One to revisit.

  • Released on Vita: May 27, 2014

Released on Steam: March 8, 2016

Brief thoughts: A dungeon RPG that kind of feels like a Persona clone. Did not play far into it due to lack of interest.

  • Released on Vita: April 15, 2014

Released on Steam: August 15, 2016

Brief thoughts: The one game that makes me irrationally angry at how garbage it is. It's a terrible video game. There's weirdly done sexual undertones. The main protagonist is shown in a video cutscene with a katana, but then goes on to use two daggers to fight. It's a blatant Persona 4 ripoff, but executed terribly with only waifu bait characters instead of diverse social links. There's just so much wrong with this game that I could go on. It's total garbage.

  • Released on Vita: February 11, 2014

Released on Steam: February 18, 2016

Brief thoughts: A fun visual novel/Phoenix Wright style game. I feel like it blew me away at the time of playing but as I get further away from playing it my memories of that game were how it was kind of dumb, but certainly still fun.

  • Released on Vita: September 2, 2014

Released on Steam: April 18, 2016

Brief thoughts: Definitely had less of an impact just by being basically a direct sequel to the first game. I didn't much care for the direction that the overall plot goes. After playing this game and hearing that an anime provides the conclusion for the series and the 3rd game is a something of a new start I think I'm done with the series as a whole.

  • Released on Vita: May 27, 2014

Released on Steam: March 14, 2017

It's a card game. The whole appeal is cute/sexy monster girls on cards. Since there's the whole aspect of leveling up your card via the rubbing mechanic on the Vita I found that the balance of the card game wasn't great. If you leveled up your cards they become significantly better than their base versions. Then it becomes fairly easy to mostly steam roll over all the AI opponents using basic strategy. I don't really think it's worth playing.

  • Release on Vita: June 9, 2015

Released on Steam: March 27, 2017

    Another of many DRPGs.
