What idiot buys from GAME and Gamestation anyway? If you're using a computer, you have far cheaper online stores like Amazon, ShopTo and Zavvi. GAME have always been a rip-off because of them being a high street retailer. Parents seem to believe it's the only place for video games and so GAME take advantage of this by hiking their prices up and offering useless "needed" accessories. Every time I've been in a store, there's always some parent giving into their kid and paying like £40 for a game that's been out many months. It really doesn't bother me to see them go down the pan. I hardly ever buy anything in the high street anymore because of the prices and the fact a lot of the cases/discs are all scratched up.
Day of release the prices in my store matched amazon's if not beat it so plenty of my gaming friends purchased from there and enjoyed the advantage of handing over money and recieving the game there and then when we wanted it rather than waiting for the royal mail's arcane shipping schedules to reach us a week early to a week late. As you said "Parents seem to believe it's the only place for video games" so the real loss here is younger gamers who can't just send their parents into a Game store anymore and have them ask awkward questions to the employees until they find the game in question.
Just because you yourself don't purchase from them (continue to pat yourselves on the back for this if it helps) doesn't mean it isn't a loss to someone somewhere, You don't buy many women's clothes so why should it matter if women's clothing stores shut? because then our girlfriends would look like dart's players....
...but most games come a day early online, so I get to play it before everyone who has to queue for the midnight release in the rain. Royal Mail is great most of the time and places like ShopTo use other couriers when they go on strike - so no big deal. Worst case scenario...my game arrives on the day of release. Oh and did you know they actually SELL women's clothes online? Anyway...games vs. clothes...big difference. It's better to buy clothes in-store since you can make sure they fit properly.
End of the day, I don't like the ways of the high street and think internet shopping is much more easier on the wallet and very convenient. What's not to like? Don't tell me about lost jobs.

What the hell is up? This mark just won't come off. It looks like a smear. I figure the plastic may somehow have been damaged but I have kept it in the same place. There's a few spots where it is white.
Is there anything that can make this better or is this permanent damage do you think?
It's still spinning as if I didn't install it. I know I did. I have deleted the install and am re-installing right now to see if it was just some weird glitch.
Anyone else have this issue with the disc still spinning despite installing the game?
