I have Lost and the Damned and I'm thinking about getting Ballad of Gay Tony. I was fine with TLAD, but it wasn't the bees knees. I really enjoyed riding bikes as it made it much easier. I did hear that TBoGT goes all out like GTA is supposed to, with more weapons, vehicles and such. It would all rely on story though for me. Anybody want to help us out?

I agree but I doubt Elder Scrolls will ever be Mass Effect as far as voice acting goes. So many characters...

Wow, the fact that you wrote that four years ago blows me out of the water. But I totally agree, and I'm worried. I don't even feel like text would be going "backward" but I feel like it makes game players lazier.

In hindsight, I realized that because of the repetitive voice work in Oblivion, I feel like many sacrifices were involved to apply it to the world and overall I didn't like it. I actually enjoyed the text of Morrowind as it allowed for my imagination to fill in character voices and also Morrowind was so big in scope. I know this might be a polarizing opinion as text does put a lot of people off.

I doubt that text will ever return to the elder scrolls series besides books, which are dwindling in ambition and number. Do you like text? Did you like text more than voice work? Is it still possible in big budget games for our modern times?

I haven't read it, but want to. Kind of wish you had a reason though, but it's cool

Definitely a wiser decision to go XBLA. I know so little about this game even with research.

Wow everything theyve done to Horde is fucking amazing looking. I Cannot wait to play this and see how people figure out how to break it . looks like blocking off a a choke point with a shield is no longer a good stategy.
Agreed, and I used that shield all the time...

I think the more ways teams can use to defend themselves the better. Multiple strategies like barriers, decoys, turrets, and ammunition allow for personalizing how you fight, which is great. I agree though about the death buy back feature. Because if you can buy yourself back to life, wouldn't you want to keep as much money as possible to keep buying oneself back? Which means all the work they did for money investment was pointless? This is easily remedied though, a penalty of money for dying would allow people to not be willing to die repeatedly. In any case, I'm really excited to get five friends back into Horde.
