I've done the one hour trial and I really, really enjoyed it. I'd buy it if I could afford it but after buying Deadlight and Tony Hawk HD I'm all out of game money. It seems really well made and the movement stuff is interesting enough to make me want to play more. Some of the cover controls feel a little awkward but not game-ruiningly so.

I'm really not happy about all these people apologising for this atrocious port. I know the main reason for people being ok with it is "well they never promised any better", "they weren't going to put it on pc anyway so be grateful" and so on and so forth, but these things really don't make it OK. There has been a number of PC ports that have been considered atrocious by the vast majority of people that have been far better than what this Dark Souls port is, and the backlash against them has been absolutely enormous (examples, From Dust, Binary Domain, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier) but all of these games at least had features that have been standard since the 90s.

I'm just throwing it out there that Flashdevelop is an extremely good and an extremely well made alternative to Flash Builder, and it's totally freeware. It's what I have been using while I learn to develop AS3 games. It might be something to consider.

http://www.flashdevelop.org/

This looks quite nice so far though, I really do have a soft spot for permadeath and such things. Good luck with making your game. If it works on iOS 3.1.3 on an iPhone 3G then I'd totally buy it.

Edit: I'm also throwing another thing out there, if you are having trouble getting stuff to work you might want to consider trying Flashpunk. http://connorullmann.com/2011/04/air-2-6-and-ios/ is a good tutorial for getting it to run on iOS using Flashdevelop and it really, really, really streamlines the development process of AS3 games.

A friend of mine had that, although I have no idea what was wrong.

Turns out I had to restart the game twice, as in I launched it, no save, I launched it again, no save, and then once more for good measure and all my stuff was back. Not sure what it is but this game seems to have a hard time dealing with the 360 file system.

So, I finished Deadlight but I was planning on going back to get the last 3 or 4 collectibles and get all of the achievements and that dope avatar hat. (It's not really dope. I don't care about the hat at all.) However, it seems like all of my save data has gone and I can no longer select any scenes that I've already done?

Has this happened to anyone else?

They are discounting TOR next month to $15, and then it is going full F2P "this fall." Free client, micro-transactions and what not.

@OperationPrometheus: Spelunky isn't short. It's a roguelike. You can complete the game in 8 minutes but it will likely take you hundreds, if not thousands of tries to get to the end of it. It's totally randomly generated so you never see the same level twice. It's probably got the most replay value of any game I've seen on XBLA.

@Redbullet685: Dust looks interesting. Screenshots don't do it justice, you really need to see it in motion. The animation in that game is absolutely absurd.

It's thoroughly ok. The storytelling is poor, the writing is bad and the voice acting isn't very good at all, but the core gameplay of Prince of Persia style platforming is well executed and feels really nice when you pull it off. People have been saying that it is short, and while it is true that the actual game is maybe only 2-3 hours long, that doesn't include deaths or anything and I personally have died absolutely loads of times. I've spent 2 hours in it according to the counter but I know for a fact that I've spent nearer to 4.

I think a lot of them are serial killers. I found E. Theodore Gein in the hospital too, which is obviously a reference to Ed Gein. Hadn't noticed any others but I might go over and look some of the other IDs up to see what is going on with them.
