I haven't played it on XBLA, but I've played the PC version of Gotham City Imposters quite a bit. It's really quite fun. It's a fusion of Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty. It has very similar levelling mechanics to Call of Duty and a lot of the weapons feel similar in terms of how the iron sights work and that kind of thing. Team Fortress 2 plays into it with the movement options. Everyone has a gadget such as a glider, a grappling hook, roller skates or spring boots that help them move around in certain ways. It's also got a similar support item structure to TF2 where you can buff your allies or debuff your enemies through a variety of gadgets and such.

I've just recently got an Xbox, so have been buying a bunch of XBLA things. Fez and Spelunky are two games that I would recommend to pretty much anyone I know. They are both absolutely fantastic. Deadlight just came out today and is getting mixed reviews but I quite like it so far, so maybe consider that too.

@Tobiass: I just finished getting the 400 points. I did all the projectives for every other level in about 15 minutes each, but had to spend 1 hour and 45 minutes doing downhill jam. The level really is a piece of shit in this game.

A friend and I are racing to finish S-Rank Secret Of The Magic Crystals. I seem to be winning, as I just finished all of the first tier races and quests. (Doing both of those things awards achievements, can't remember which I did last though.)

@CorporalGregg: I'm going to try this out now, I think. I've heard that from a friend of mine too.

@WilliamHenry: I don't know about that. I have heard from multiple places that Tony Hawk has final say on loads of stuff to do with the games and keeps a very active role in development. I also heard from the Quick Look and from an interview that he specifically demanded the Downhill Jam levels, and it was him saying that they should get in on the peripheral craze that led to Ride/Shred.

I heard that he is the one forcing it in. If that is true, he should just stay the fuck away from the franchise. I realise that it has his name on it but between this/Mall being the worst thing about THPSHD and Ride/Shred, it seems to me like he is the main force pulling the franchise down.

Right, I will preface this thread by saying that Downhill Jam is the biggest piece of shit level in the entire Tony Hawk franchise as far as I am concerned. It is awful and I hate it.

With that said, does the THPSHD version seem even worse than normal? It seems like everything is breaking all over the place and you are constantly hitting sticking out bits of geometry that throw you off your board and all sorts of shitty bugs like that. It's destroying what had, up until this point, been an enjoyable experience for me.

I'm not sure if this is just my hatred for Downhill Jam bubbling up again, or if it is genuinely an awful version of it.

You jest about Muslims, but I read somewhere (an unreliable source, so do not take this as fact in any way possible) that a witness said to a news team (I believe Channel 9 News) that the attacker was carrying an Iranian flag. Obviously, if he was, that means it's less about religion and more about America's relationship with Iran. Even with that in mind, horrible people will still probably blame it on Muslims and be shitty towards them. Edit: Also, could have just as easily been doing that to throw people off or whatever.

And again, I read this on a certain anonymous message board from a person who said a witness speaking to the camera said it. This could very well be a lie for all I know.

I wonder. If I were to get all the mp3s of these songs, put them on a memory stick and plug them into my 360, could I then use the 360 music player to replace the soundtrack of the game with the actual soundtrack of the original two games?

(new to 360, sorry if that's a dumb question)

They aren't trying to cater to the small amount of people who do use Linux, they're trying to make Linux a more viable development platform for developers so that people will begin to use Linux. Steam for Mac has worked out quite well and you see way more games getting mac versions nowadays, so they're just giving Linux the same treatment.
