I just bought this on PS4 after watching Brad and Vinny play it and I’m enamored. One thing I will note however is that the draw distance is horrible. I’m not sure if maybe I just have a bad seed but the terrain in my first area is mostly flat and I can’t see anything more than a slight jog away. Anyone else having the same experience?

I really hope they go back to the old format for the GOTY podcasts. For me, it was the thing I look forward to most on the site. The old format lended itself better to deeper and more thought provoking discussions just by the nature of actually needing to come up with reasons for it to fit that specific category. Now it’s 3 whole days (far too much) of surface level rehashing. I found myself multiple times completely forgetting what game they were even talking about because there was so many and it boiled down to the same sentiment for each game; “oh it was fine.” Maybe it enabled them to stay more organized but I couldn’t tell where one discussion began and the other ended because it could be applied to every game.

I don’t expect them to change the way they want to do it because it’s their site. My voice in this chamber is that I’m disappointed and I hope that next year brings me more joy.

Less so which game but does anyone else after they have had a long hiatus from a game have to start from scratch? Idk for me if i don't do that I have almost no idea where I'm at in the story, or who the hell I am, or what these people want me to do. I can usually grasp the mechanics fairly quickly but everything on the outside has me so overwhelmed that I have to start fresh.

Also I'm really weird and love the intro/tutorial parts of games.

I just got one of those 4K LG OLED that Dan and Jeff got and was looking to get a PS4 Pro to pair it with and I can't for the life of me find just a standard new one. The only places I'm finding them are on sites like eBay and Offerup. Not really looking for links or anything, just kind of confused at the lack of stock. Is there something I'm not privy to that's going on or does anyone have any insight on what might be going on?

I always see this sentiment that people don't like the weighty and stiff feel to Rockstar games but idk, I'm definitely an outlier but I just love that feel. Like when GTA IV came out i was just entranced at the weight of the cars, the movement, and the shooting mechanics. I get that it doesn't lend itself to gameplay all that well but I definitely feel more connected to the protagonist that way. In MP 3 the man literally could only carry two guns and when you dove and slammed yourself in to a wall or the ground you felt that shit.
