  • An exceptionally thoughtfully conceived game that is let down by bugs and crashes 4/5

  • Intriguing and novel. Hasn't got any hooks in me yet though.

  • A couch co-op game for my wife and I.

  • Still the go-to game for social group calls.

  • This game is aging well and like most of the previous Fallout titles has merited replay.

  • Intriguing treatise on free will and dystopia. Nothing excessively memorable about the game play other than to say it is the only game I've heard of that has bartending and pottery mechanisms to advance progress. While the former at least operates as a frame for the moral and ethical questions tackled by the broader narrative, the latter is mundane. Neither works especially well. Overall this is an enjoyable and thought provoking experience.

  • Have the steam key... hoping to find time to check it out

  • I think I like this game... but haven't put enough time into it yet to form a solid opinion. Would like to find time to play more

  • This is an homage to XCOM that runs incredibly close to the line where you'd call it a clone.

It plays pretty well and is enjoyable. It isn't as good as any of the titles in the Firaxis XCOM series. 3/5

  • Giving this a crack.

What a great game... Hugely entertaining

After 20 hours. What a delightful discovery. Maybe one of the best games I've ever played on a non-gaming laptop.

After 30 hours: This game is really aimed at a different demographic (i.e. younger) to me. Still really enjoying it though... and enjoying it enough to see it through to the end. I regard this very highly for what it is. Excellent video game. Falls a shade short of essential perhaps?

After 50 hours. Well the charm level just keeps on increasing. This is a really enjoyable and well written game. Highly recommended on a low-end pc or laptop. I can see the end line now. Still two thumbs up.

  • Would like to find the time to play...

  • Dark Souls remastered. Another run through of this classic game. Timeless, enjoyable, and thoroughly revisit-able... what a pleasure to unlock this rubic's cube one more time. 5/5

  • Replaying on Xbox One X.

Seems as if that's a recurring theme this year. I'm spending a lot of time playing (and thoroughly enjoying) classic titles like this.

In the end, I played through this in its entirety. A real pleasure.

Like KOTOR last year, I've hugely appreciated playing this via the backwards compatibility on Xbox One X. 5/5

  • This is a slow burner of a game. First impressions are middling but it definitely shows its depth after a few hours. I'm intrigued and the combat game play is better than average but worse than say, Dark Souls.

Story and characters are interesting... We'll see how the end plays out.

  • Started

  • I've put about 20 hours into this fascinating jank fest of a game and I'm on the razor edge between continuing and dropping it.

Things to be aware of. 1) it takes a good dozen hours to get settled in this world and understand what you are doing and why. That's quite a long time and during that time you will be feeling under-powered for almost everything. 2) The story is intriguing at a conceptual level but the characters are all a bit too contrived and inconsequential. The quest design isn't bad, and there's some development of characters and narrative going on but overall this isn't as satisfying as it could be.

but as I say... I feel like I'm approaching an inflection point for this game. I'm about to choose a faction (Clerics) and it is at this point I should (I hope) stop feeling like a complete weakling whenever there's combat.

In the end, I dropped this game... It is just too clunky and the story/lore/world doesn't grab me enough. In no small part this is worsened by the weak character writing for NPCs. Everything is great conceptually but executed inadequately and ultimately this makes for a disappointing experience.

  • Playing on PC using the 2018 ALOT mod.

Wonderful to play through this again. 2018 seems to be the year for revisiting old games for me.

  • Intriguing set up and slow build (3hours in).

Will continue to see where this one goes...

  • Seems as is if this is the year I replay a bunch of classics. After completing ME, I've now burned through ME2 again.

Superb games. Aging slightly (even with the ALOT mods installed).

  • Pretty good. Strong all-round. Worth the money. Worth the time to play.
