@toopopplio

I play on a gaming pc, but when I'm travelling I'll play some HotS on my 2011 MacBook on low settings. Yours should run fine.

Have you played a MOBA before? When I started playing in November I had never played one. I was always intimidated. HotS is really easy to learn, but with quite a lot of depth as well. I'd say give it a go, especially considering it's free to play. If you have someone that you can play with it really improves the experience.

You know, the game is out in three weeks, and we still haven't even seen VIDEO of the multiplayer mode! Couldn't they have at least released some video of the darn thing? I have to think that getting this news wouldn't have been as crappy if it was accompanied by a video that explained the muliplayer changes and gave a good idea of how the mode will play.

This is so stupid, and it's being handled so poorly.

Even if you are a person who is totally unfazed by any of the things that have made people grumble, you have to admit that the marketing is a bit flabbergasting. I just don't know what they are doing, from their choice of mission in the latest video (requiring an explanation about the extra nagging narration and the weird cuts they had to make to avoid spoilers), to the total lack of any multiplayer footage.

Even if most people don't view those things as major issues, why plant any doubt? Why not just show a regular ass mission? Why not just show one multiplayer match? What's the underlying reason for half of the decisions they've made?

I'm still holding out hope that the whole thing is going to be a blast, but that's in spite of what I've seen, not because of it.

Mass Effect and Dragon Age marketing have both been consistently poor. They always focus on the combat exclusively, which makes up only about 1/3 of what I like about their games. In fact, I'd say the marketing for Andromeda has been the best Bioware has done in some time, given the fact that the faster-paced action makes for better trailers.

@liquiddragon: I played about 3 hours. It's alright, runs well on newer phones. The main problem I had was the smaller map size. It makes missions shorter which lowers the difficulty dramatically.

It totally depends on the game. If you're doing anything that requires a reaction time then 60fps can be a huge deal. If you're playing a turn-based strategy, or an adventure game, or anything that doesn't require reaction time or fast movement then 60fps becomes a bit of an afterthought and a stable 30fps is just fine.

@Chocobodude3:

I agree with your selections, but maybe put Frank Miller as both one of the best and worst? His 80s work is just too influential to ignore, and his more recent stuff is too horrendous to ignore.

@djghostmare:

The use of "disappear" as a transitive verb is legitimate.
