Running with a 660 GTX and a 5 year old Q6600, along with 6GB DDR2. It should run as well as BF3 does, but it definitely does not.

I've got pretty much the same setup as you, and I figured since I was able to run BF3 at pretty high settings, BF4 should run just fine as well.
For me, the game is completely unplayable, even on Low settings. Wondering if they intend to fix the performance issues before the game goes retail, but seeing how the full game is less than a month away, I doubt it.

Will wait a week or two, and if nothing's improved by then, I'll cancel my preorder.

This is incredibly sad, and a huge loss to the gaming community as a whole.
My thoughts goes out to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

I agree with you, . I don't have a lot of time for gaming myself, and CS:GO is now my go-to game for a quick gaming fix.

It's just a really fun game, and whether you play for 15 mins or two hours doesn't really matter, you'll still have a lot of fun.

Seeing how cheap the game is, I can't believe that it's not more popular.

As others mentioned, the new enviorments give this game a different feel than Trials HD, and I have to say that I'm much more pleased with the difficulty curve this time around.

I just logged into Steam on random earlier this week, and noticed that I had been given access to the beta through the beta survey on Counter-Strike.net.

Only thing that puzzles me is that I was given access even though I submited the hardware config from my MacBook Pro, and the beta is Windows only.

Gave the beta gift to my brother who's an avid CS gamer, so it was not all waste.

I own both, and my nominee is the Xbox 360. My PS3 is a Blu-Ray player with some added features.

That said, one of the reasons I prefer the Xbox 360 is because I feel that the Xbox 360 controller, minus the DPAD, is superior to the PS3 in every way. It just feels a lot better in my hands.

Another reason why my vote goes to the Xbox 360, is because it's faster from boot to play time, especially if there's any updates to be applied. The PS3 patch system simply takes ages.

Trick it. Survive it the least of all, as the game mechanics feel completely horrid to me. It simply the least fun of the three.

Amazon has "leaked" another date, close to the one mentioned in the original post. Exciting stuff if true. If not, move along.

I'm close to crossing into the 30's, and I've noticed that my gaming habits have changed a lot in the last couple of years.

Gaming isn't a big priority anymore, and I'm a lot more selective about which games I actually care to spend time with. There are maybe two or something games each year which I actually do bother playing through, but I still really enjoy it once I play.

I don't think you'll grow out of gaming, but it becomes just one of several things to fill your free time with.

I'm really mediocre at the moment, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll some glorious day cross in to average, at least. ;-)
