On the whole I tend to agree with Vinny and Brad.

No More Heroes, but I did quite like the peeing in Heavy Rain.

I'm curious, experienced Dead Rising players, do you recommend I just blast through the story missions on my first-playthrough or try and get survivors. I've been faffing around with all the side-mission stuff, and I'm wondering if that's why I've stopped enjoying it. Although, to be fair, I was having fun until I hit a brick wall with a couple of the side-missions and then they wanted me to find Zombrex which I can't.

It's driving me mad. I woke up in a good mood this morning, but I'm fucking furious now. I "get it". It's clearly quite clever in design. But it's also infuriating. I might have to wait for a walkthrough until I play it because I just don't understand how it wants me to play this game. I need to find a Zombrex, I have about ten minutes to do it. How the fuck do they expect you to find one?

I'm two matches away from winning the table-tennis gold cup. Reviewers fucked up with this game in my opinion. Heavily under-rated. The gold cup portion of table tennis is practically a simulator. In the rush to blast through the bronze cup and type "lolwaggle", reviewers have missed out on the massive levels of depth in the harder difficulties. It's basically like playing table-tennis. And the AI is very intelligent.
 
The reviews have still been fine - and I know I shouldn't get caught up in other people's "opinion". But I am very disappointed so few reviews have talked about the depth in the later difficulties; opting instead to bring up the Wii Sports comparisons. Sure, it's a derivative game and plays off a proven Nintendo concept -- but this has acres more challenge. It's pretty "hardcore" on the higher difficulties. It's just a shame people are describing it as a "casual Wii Sports clone with shitty graphics". Because it's not.

It's very disappointing. But I'm really glad they're committed to quality rather than Christmas sales. I'll take the extra couple of layers of polish.

Back on topic: people dismissing this as a "waggle compilation" are being very unfair. In fact the more I play of Sports Champions the more I deem it the "killer-app" people have been screaming for with Move. The depth in the harder cups (Silver upwards) is ridiculous. Table-tennis for example demands so much from you as a player. Shot selection and execution is all paramount in defeating the AI. And honestly, I think the AI is excellent. It really tests you.
 
Sports Champions is pretty hardcore when you hit the harder difficulties. I get the complaints about its presentation, etc; but it's a much deeper game than people are giving it credit.
