The game has dual-layer DRM where it runs some kind of virtual OS (effectively the first DRM layer) and THEN runs the game - with Denuvo - inside said layer. It's ridiculous and has jacked many people's CPU's to 100% load, every core, all the time. Needless to say, it's a very negative impact on performance.

This is likely the reason some machines which should blow this game out of the water - mine being an example - struggle around 50-70 frames (w/ pretty noticeable hitching).

Deeply unpleasant but I'm still enjoying the game. I hope some kind of fix/workaround/crack emerges to bypass this issue.

I'll probably buy it after Christmas, none of the surrounding drama really matters to me. Seems like a load of hysterics.

I'm having more issues with Ubisoft and their insane PC DRM policy than anything EA has done lately.

EDIT: I'd also like to add that BF1 is a pretty great game, and the DLC for it has been very solid so far. Nobody talks about the successes, only the (perceived) failures!

Well, I liked the last episode but I am starting to feel that they're not really developing the central plot fast enough. Also,

what's to stop Mudd from just selling what he already knows to the Klingons anyway? The ending made me really question how the situation was "resolved."

It's still a massive, massive security breach!

In MMO's I find this happens more often than I'd like.

Especially with harder "raid" style fights, me and a group will invest a lot of time/effort/coordination and still just come up short after hours and hours. It's happened a few times in Final Fantasy XIV (Gordias 3 and Midas 2) where we cannot get past something even after weeks of attempts.

At some point, we give up to move onto other things but it definitely stings a little whenever the call is made.

@opusofthemagnum: I agree with you 110% but this just doesn't feel like the thread for it, dude. Let's not sink to their level and get it locked by mods

The song&sequence at the end reminded me of a mid-2000s Sonic game. Mario has truly come full circle, that's all I'll say

It's gotta be the good old Mary Sue, that classic too-good, too-perfect wish fulfillment character that cheapens everything around them

It becomes a real challenge to stay invested as soon as there's a whiff of that in any creative work

I'm looking at you, Rey

Goombas aren't sentient, in the movie they barely even seemed conscious, ergo not an issue

I guess it'll just mean something else here in North America!
