I don't think this is a huge deal - an update is apparently coming - but asking for $99 to fix a console because of a change they made is really dickish.
But then, wait a bit and you don't have to pay any at all. So, like I said, not a huge deal.
It sounds like people have already been waiting 7 months for this patch, I imagine many have given up on it ever arriving. That's simply not acceptable.
I was wondering if the OP had been watching touched up footage (subtle contrast tweaks, colour correction etc) but then he posted that Gears video and my eyes puked.
Mass Effect has the extranet and visual files are vids. From what I can tell your omnitool is your smartphone, works as your personal communicator. Star Wars has the Holonet, and files are holos. You got commlinks and holocoms for communication devices. Shadowrun I barely remember. I remember you have a PAN; Personal Area Network, which are essentially holoscreens around you that work like an all purpose computer, including personalized ads being sent to you. In some cities its illegal to have your PAN turned off. The Internet is still the Internet, but now it's its own digital 'world' with cyberspirits and technomancers floating around. And there's the SID chip/card, which are identity and access cards that essentially are your life.
PAN is a real thing, it's stuff like Bluetooth and NFC :-)
