Sennheiser makes a mean headset.

These are the ones I have. The audio and microphone are both stellar quality in my experience. I use them strictly on a PC. But I assume they would work just as well on a Mac.

You don't take your levels with you. Just money and Persona database I believe.

I've received near a dozen unreadable discs from various Gamestops. But they've always been friendly and apologetic about it and replaced it with a newer, shinier disc. I did get some rather unfriendly comments once when I purchased a copy of Final Fantasy XI a year or two back. I just thought it was funny though.
