Play Me!

Here's a list of games I'm looking forward to playing soon. This list will serve as a way for me to keep track of the games I want to play!

List items

  • Saying that "I'm looking forward" to playing this game isn't quite accurate. There's this part of me that has mixed feelings about whether I want to play it: I'm curious, I'm scared, I'm uncomfortable. My reaction has been to watch a few gameplay clips (a few minutes each) but then set it aside.

And that's how I've been dealing with my own grief over losing a loved one much, much too soon: I'm afraid of it, I get close to it, I'll try and touch it, but then I back away because I'm completely overwhelmed. It's sort of like dipping your toe into a ice cold pool and not wanting to jump all the way in.

I'm not sure when I'll get to this game, if ever.

  • I love adventure games. I'll play almost any I come across and this one is no exception. This seemed to pop on a few "Best Of" lists at the end of 2015, but what really sold me was a HOT GAME TIP from a reliable source.

  • Another horror adventure game, you say? With crime solving elements? COUNT ME IN!

Somehow this one slipped under my radar and I learned about this game a few short weeks ago. Based on the gameplay I saw, I hope to get to this one sooner rather than later.

  • I've heard nothing but rave reviews about Depression Quest. I'm also curious about getting a sneak peek into other people's experiences with mental illness.

  • I think Alex may have said it best: "This has a Richard Scarry vibe to it." I love the style and the artwork. It's playful in a way that seems antithetical to the characters and their dialogue.

From what I've seen so far, it's weird, it's cute, it's dialogue heavy and right up my alley!
