I'm having a really fun time with the game. Grow Up is basically my No Man' Sky. I run around, explore the different islands, look for crystals, upgrade my BUD and grow starplants. It's a super serene experience and I think all the new abilities you gain are really fun.
I do wish the performance on PS4 was better for a game that doesn't really even use textures but on average I can't say it impeded my climbing or gameplay in any way. There are some jerky moments when it saves or transitions to a cutscene but the game itself doesn't really suffer from any real hiccups.
A ton of fun. If you liked the first one then this is a lot more colorful because of the different biomes and some of the later upgrades make traversal a real blast.
Funny thing was that as I was watching this live yesterday and Brad was talking about how no one can play Grow Up online, I was at that very moment playing Grow Up while connected to PSN without any problems. Now after years of being on the other more maligned side of the fence, I finally know what it's like to be part of that lucky 1% that gets to casually say "works fine for me" and keep on playing.
It's a fun game, I like the upgrades. I do wish it was more vertical instead of the more spread out approach they decided to go with.
Performance on the PS4 is kinda all over the place and I wish I had gotten it on PC instead, but I had pre-ordered it on console because PSN had a sale on indie pre-orders and it was the first time in a while that pre-ordering was actually beneficial in some way.
It's refreshing to see Inquisition mentioned in an article that isn't simply complaining about how disappointing it was, and amazingly enough actually praises it for anything.
@rvone: It may not have been a great movie but it had really amazing visual design. From the tech, the clothes, the vehicles, the drones, the sounds they made.. man it was all REALLY really cool.
