I have found that Destiny 2 PvP no longer chaotic due to the lower player count and the absence of vehicles. Destiny 2 is now more engaging and competitive. However, I wish that they have kept 6vs6 as an option for having a mindless fun.

This is how I feel. I didn't play a ton of D1 ,but I remember its PvP being a clusterfuck. D2 4v4, while engaging, is elegant in comparison. The maps sizees all being pretty small is pretty great too. But now there's no mode to just mess around in. I wish there was a FFA or a gun game or something.

I always thought of masocore as a really specific type of platformer. Like Dustforce is hard but that's because its momentum based. And Hotline Miami isn't that difficult compared to Meat Boy or IWBTG.

Regardless, They Bleed Pixels and Wings of Vi are my favorites. Pixels has these really long levels that get really hard and technical when you add in the (not great) combat. Vi I never finished but was really tough in a very specific IWBTG-ish way.

I voted no but I once bought King of Fighter XIV LE and the digital version to play it as early as possible. And I don't even like the game that much. But really don't that's a lot of money.

I totally get what you're coming from, thought I'm having the opposite problem. But also its totally this game. The Dark Souls comparison gives it too much credit. I really don't think the combat explains itself well, which I guess can be seen as a Dark Souls thing. I more or less managed to mash my way through most of the bosses. Specifically I made a pretty long combo, with different specials bound to triangle. Its kind of a shame since some of it isn't too confusing. Like faster moves or simply dodging and then attacking can beat slower moves. Armor moves can beat out faster moves. Moves like sweeps can duck or move out of the way of other moves. And certain moves do way more stamina damage. It made sense from playing fighting games, which also don't explain themselves well.

It also kinda sucks that there are dozens of moves that all kinda look the same. And since enemies seem to just not black randomly, it really does feel like mashing. Maybe that's what the mentor system is about and maybe online in general? I managed to get it working once on PS4 and it was pretty chuggy. But I could see this game making more sense in an online community environment. Regardless, its pretty telling that the end game is supposedly PvP.

I was one of those idiots who tried to enjoy Destiny 1 without friends or a clan. At least they'll have matchmaking this time! Joined Murder Birds because that's a better name than Batmanbatmanbatman. Is there a GB Destiny discord yet?

It would be cool if they just ripped all of the challenge/tutorial stuff from GG. Arc is usually pretty good and consistent at that. For big main story modes, I hope they also copy guilty gear and just put in a 3 hour long anime. The visual novel type stuff seems like a waste in that engine. The other Arc games usually don't have great SP stuff outside of challenges/tutorials, which are pretty practical, and their weird pseudo-rpg mode. Neither are as varied or approachable as the stuff you see in MK and Injustice.

This will be my first real Tekken game. I got excited for it after it finally got a release fate, after 3(ish) goddamn years of arcade/tournament footage. I hope the net code is decent!

I remember Endless Space 1 being pretty whatever. Despite really liking Endless Legend, I could never get a hang of it. It has a lot of cool thing that make it really fun(and maybe a bit less strategical?) than most 4x. It was pretty overwhelming how different it was. First impression, is that Endless Space 2 is far more familiar and still just as slick. I'm really digging it. The production values are fantastic. Lots of good flavor text and it keeps the uniqueness of factions and RPG elements from Endless Legend.
