Act or no, a good heel makes you want to engage and root against him. A bad heel makes you want to tune out.

Abby: you suffer a huge accuracy penalty in this game if you're moving and shooting at the same time. If you're aiming down sites and trying to line up a shot, stop moving, and hold shift to hold your breath to get that sweet accuracy. In super close combat it's fine to move and shoot (particularly on full auto or with a shotgun), but otherwise stand still when you're trying to hit someone.

Does Dan ever learn to hold shift while he's aiming down sights? Watching him try to snipe is a little painful, and it's a little surprising that he has 80 hours or whatever in.

If ya'll were wondering, Brad did indeed get head-shotted out of the car at the end. Go frame by frame and you can see his helmet pop off and a massive blood cloud. It looks really brutal, actually.

Also, I think Abby got a handle on the basic mechanics faster than the rest of the group. The only thing she isn't doing is putting on helmets (and armor it looks like?) I know you dig your hair, but a helmet will save you from dying to a headshot if you're at full health.

Ya'll should stop spamming bandages. Wait for a couple seconds after applying one before you start applying the next one. It heals you just as fast, and it doesn't waste any of their healing ability like spamming them does.

I think more importantly than getting into fights early is that nobody died super early and left the team handicapped for half the match. They all died at roughly the same locations in each match, usually near the end when they made their last stand. Also Vinny dropping his voice in out of nowhere was like a shock from God.

It seemed like when Alex was 8x shooting at the guy near the house he was trying to preempt bullet drop when it wasn't coming into play at all. I'd guess it's faster to just shoot directly at them and slowly adjust your angle upwards if you don't get a hit.

Yeah, bullet drop in this game isn't extreme at all, unless you're using 9mm or .45.

Assault rifles have very high velocity, as well. Generally speaking, you don't need to lead as much as you think you do, and you don't need to worry about bullet drop unless you're firing at super long ranges.

I really enjoyed Dirt Rally. There was a beautiful simplicity there, and the challenge of it almost made it feel like a racing rogue-like to me (though you could re-start if you messed up). I put 20 hours into that game and I never got to the point where I could even reliably use anything other than the low-powered FWD cars. I've heard this is a bit easier, but at the same time I kind of want to put more time into Dirt Rally and git gud with the higher powered cars.

@nonesun: I think you hit the nail on the head. Dirt Rally was really engaging for me for a while. When I was on, I'd enter a flow state, receive the navigator's instructions, and nail the corners without even thinking about them.

@benpack, you should equip your character's utility belt. It increases your carrying capacity. There's no reason not to put it on. It equals one third of a level 1 backpack.

Wow, watching Vinny go ham on his own team was something else. Did anyone gif that for posterity?

For what it's worth, the devs fixed the grass so it's standard across all settings.
