@dan_citi: I wish I could recommend more, but I feel I haven't played one better then a 7 out of 10.. like there is more virtual novel ones (ace attorney, daganropa, master detectives: rain) and then the more adventure game puzzles (sherlock, Poirot, still life). It really depends how far away from detective you are willing to get. Like it's old, but Gabriel Knight sins of the father, has you doing some investigation but you aren't a cop and it's very old school adventure game.

@judaspete: yeah I think there needs to be some healthy competition, even if it is a $20 arcade type game or even one competitor (live vs 2k). Make the teams feel they actually have to put work in and can't coast on the bones of a 5 year old game that just adds Malibu Stacy's new hat every year.

@bigsocrates: I know! I thought my search had come to an end, but alas, it was just not to be.

I stopped buying new sports games altogether, every year a game is free on PS plus, and I just play that until the servers shut down and by then a newer version is free. Since I refuse to take part in micro transactions I feel I'm winning by giving them $0 and still playing their games to death.

@bigsocrates: broken sword and syberia are both on my list to play. I personally played the first two syberia games before this series was ever a thing, but haven't shown the games to my wife.. we have since moved on to anime detectives "master detectives: rain code" or whatever it is called. So far that is capturing our interest, but when that game ends we will maybe move on to syberia.

@zombiepie:Thanks for the heads up.. I'll try to remember and not add quotations to any more pictures. And yes, the ABC Murders is still the best one of these Poirot games.

@bigsocrates: Believe it or not, my wife also would score the Agatha Christie games as average or below average, but they can be enjoyable 6 out of 10s that would never be in consideration for Best game of all Time, but still 5 hours well spent. The problem is that each sequel has got progressively worse and it has probably ruined our taste for future Microids Poirot games.

I did play on PS4 and while perhaps the load times would be even better on PS5.. this shouldn't be a taxing game on a Ps3 and yet here we are.

When I spin "The Crew" on the wheel of games... I'll just tap you to rank it, because I have a sneaking suspicion I won't get to it this week.

@shindig: I think we can all agree Poirot is better as an old fat man... I think that goes without saying.

@chamurai: ABC murders is by far the best one and I don't see that changing soon.. It is a shame that even the inferior sequels have such a jump in quality between the two of them, because this game could be fine if it was just cleaned up technically (load times, dialogue not out of order, characters not disappearing from screen.)

As Always... thanks everyone for the read and comments.

@chamurai: thanks for the comment.. yeah I really like this game, way more than I was anticipating because I feel like the buzz wasn't there for it at the time.. I have the new one but haven't tried it yet, I have a feeling ill regret that purchase, because multiplayer focused games are real hit or miss with me.

@chamurai: depends on what you are looking for. It's mainly a setup for the combat, you aren't rolling dice or making real decisions like you would while playing actual D&D.. but you do take part in a campaign, help "write" some scenarios, and a lot of the plot revolves around the game and the creation of it...

But keep in mind that it's not real D&D, just a facsimile.

Thanks for the read and comment as always

@chamurai: thanks for the comment.. it is honestly one of the least "fun" games I've played.. and that's a strange thing to think when the game is trying its best to be funny at every turn.

@zombiepie: long ago, I played through all the final fantasies through X. I think 3 is my bottom of the barrel even below everyone's least favorite 2.

I remember that final trek being awful and overleveling and overbuying items in order to make it through. Granted this was before pixel remasters so I didn't have a lot of quality of life improvements either. Eventually I'll go back to these games to rank them on my big board, but I sure hope its awhile for 3.
