@goodacre0081:

That's good, if anything I appreciated GAF's clean layout. Even before the mobile site had was easy to browse on my phone.

Yeah. So many forums are overly stylized... or massively complicate simple matters like showing images. I used a forum today that made me use a really odd interface just to link to a few images. It uploaded those images to the server, then forced me to choose a layout and size for the newly displayed images. When all was said and done, the images I wanted to post wound up looking blurry and compressed.

Oh, right, that was this forum. FFS....

@jim2point0: What size is your vertical monitor? I'm getting closer and closer to buying an ultrawide but I can't give up having two monitors. Mounting one of my 24" 1080p monitors vertically might be a good compromise, but I've not thought about how I'd actually do it yet...

That's the QNIX QX2710. 27" 2560x1440. It was my primary monitor before going ultrawide. I found I didn't really need a 16:9 monitor sat next to a 3440x1440. So I swapped the 16:9 to vertical which actually makes for a nice dedicated code screen for when I'm working. I actually think 27" is too big for a vertical monitor though. I'm thinking of replacing it with a 24" monitor. Trying to look at anything towards the top of the screen hurts my neck!

As for mounting them... I'm using 2 of these. I'd like to have a single arm that can hold both monitors, but for now, this makes for pretty easy cable management.

AHHHHH.

When you're inside a thread, why is there no "last page" button.

@Ping5000: Where did you find that? I checked zh1nt0's twitter (he's the global battlefield community manager) and I didn't see him posting the password =\

I was wondering this too. Tried to play the first... and found out it had the worst combat of any game I've ever played. Wait til an icon appears and click... ugh.

So far, from what I can tell, the 2nd game will have better combat. I'm just not sure if it's going to be a memorable game... or just another RPG to hold me over til Diablo 3. Decisions decisions...
