Granted that line is dumb as all hell, but they will NEVER top the dialogue Deadman delivers when explaining how BBs work with their... mothers. I thought people were over-exaggerating how disgusting it was but no they're right on the money. Kojima never had to land on that as an explanation but he penned that up and thought, "... GOLD".
Does anyone know if this has a calorie counter in it?
Why yes there is! In the bottom left black circle that measures active time working out: you can change that display to show estimated calories burned (based on the info you told it and your difficulty settings). Keep in mind that you'll never really burn THAT much using Ring Fit Adventure, but it has surprised me how often I end up drenched in sweat and am sore for the following day. It really puts you through the ringer if you put the effort in.
lol most of my favorite games don't get the in-depth shake I wish they got on this site, but that's ok because I give them a hearty, personal shake. You're your own shake master.
(level 101 in Ring Fit Adventure by the way ask me about my hinge pose rank)
Alex your writing is always a pleasure. This review was a joy to read. I'm still torn on if I'd enjoy the building stuff aspect, but traversal seems quite un-fun which unfortunately seems to encompass the lion's share of the gameplay. We'll see... that and how timefall will just erode what we built. That's like Minecraft raining creepers.
So far my favorite quote comes from Tim Rodgers who said, "with Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima has finally made a game that is like eating 60 pounds of vegetables at gunpoint". Kudos if you think this game will be for you, but for the way too many people I've seen go "I don't like what I've seen but I HAVE to KNOW" just stop yourself. You KNOW, you just don't want to be right.
Everyone here for Death Stranding but I'm absolutely stoked to see more Ring Fit Adventure (RFA) talk. I'm lv69 in it and ranked third in the world for planking. I told my mom she's real proud (30 years old by the way). Also:
To fix the squat problem in Ring Fit Adventure, when the excercise initializes make sure you keep your legs completely straight. If you already start with slightly bent legs it'll register that as your straigt leg/standing position, which forces you to go very low for squats.
This is true across the board. Go the bare minimum in where the game asks you to place legs and bend them, otherwise it'll start having you enter pseudo-limbo games. I haven't had as much fun performing RFA exercises since on P90.
I can't wait for "Giant Bombs' 2019 game of the year "Worst song of the 80's" category." in December.
ooo I'd love for worst song of the 80's to be an actual category this year. That'd really be a nice break in the tension for the inevitable Death Stranding or Disco Elysium catastrophes that I'm predicting.
