I really wish @rorie was a regular on the bombcast. Everytime I start one and realise he's on I am very happy.
I get why people like to compare T1 and T2 so much but I think they're completely different styles of films. The first is more of a horror film with a sci-fi twist and T2 is more straight up sci-fi action. I just wish they would remaster the affects in T1 though, those puppets sure are hard to look at now.
It was this feature starting that made me watch this movie for the first time.
Even with the GB guys commentary it's pretty unbearable. Looking forward to next weeks though as I watched Fast 4 recently and thought it was all right. Curious to see why Alex is so down on that.
In regards to the size of Vin Diesel, HBO forever ago did a making of where they started out with a close up shot of Paul Walker before pulling back to a shot of Vin Diesel and Paul Walker which made Vin look huge... however it then proceeded to pull back a third time to a shot of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and The Rock...
Needless to say Vin Diesel is not a big man.
To be fair though that's probably more due to the fact that The Rock is enormous. I remember from wrestling he was billed at 275 lbs and he looks much bigger since then.
My copy arrived today so looking forward to getting started when I get home.
Super nit pick but I hope you can turn off the numbers popping up upon hits. I think showing a health bar for enemies and numbers is a bit superfluous.
