I watched the first few episodes of GT a while back and I really, really want them to watch the first two episodes. There's some great stuff about where all those characters are ten years in the future. Vegeta is a grumpy dad with a bad mustache and a bratty teenage daughter (who is actually only ten years old but Saiyan kids are weird so whatever) and I think that completely clashes with DBZ Vegeta but in a way that makes complete and total sense. I know, that's a weird sentence, but that depiction of Vegeta amuses me to no end.

'Course, then the vastly less interesting present version of Trunks, Pan, and kid-again Goku go off on their adventure and Pan goes from being a character that I wanted to see more of to a character that I wanted to see die in record fucking time, so I didn't really watch any more of it. I might jump back into it. It looked completely weird in a way that might be pretty great if I can get past some rough spots.

I don't really like Super. Sorry, guys. I finished the Frieza part of that show and just couldn't gather the interest to continue. I saw bits and pieces of later parts of the show when my brother was watching it. The whole Goku Black thing sounds like it sucks and Jiren just seems like the worst Dragonball villain ever. He's so intensely mediocre in design, personality, everything that it actually makes me angry.

EDIT: Also, I said this somewhere else recently - I kinda want to hear their thoughts on something other than Dragonball. I have several suggestions that I'll keep to myself for now, but I'm not terribly interested in more Dragonball content.

Instead of watching OG Dragonball or Super or Evolution or GT or whatever else, I'd rather see them watch something entirely new. I have a lot of suggestions I'd like to throw around, as does everyone who has ever remotely been into anime, but enough has been thrown their way that I'll just wait and see what happens.

Or we might not get another anime podcast. My understanding is that this thing is frequently difficult to fit into their schedules.

Forget the bad animations and the shitty gameplay, those fucking load times are painful.

But it brought over the imported character design? I don't see why it would bring over the character design and not the ME1 decisions?

...why is that Genesis comic in there, it ruins the pacing of the whole beginning :(.

Otherwise, yeah, it's great to see someone watch Mass Effect 2's opening for the first time. It's a hell of an opening for a hell of a game.

I figured Jeff would hate Gotenks. I couldn't tell where Dan would fall on Gotenks, but Dan liking Gotenks actually makes a whole lot more sense than I realized at first.

I think that an episode of Gotenks's antics would have been cool. Here's the joke, now let's get back to something good. Instead, we get assaulted with Gotenks for way too long.

The only remake I can think of on this scale is Metroid Zero Mission. There's probably something else, but nothing else is coming to mind.

Just in case there are other people out there who have never seen the original RE2...

I just finished Leon A and am now on Claire B. I had a lot of fun with Leon's playthrough but I'm not really sure how I feel about playing through the whole game again.

I mean, if I'm being honest, I don't think the show really gets good again until Kid Buu appears. I think Vegito is an annoying character - a huge relief from Gotenks's over-long antics but I still didn't like him. Fortunately, he's not on screen for very long.

For all its faults, though, I agree that the Buu saga's finale is one hell of an ending to this show, and an excellent one at that. I know that some people think the show should have ended at the Cell saga, but I think the stuff we get to in the end definitely justifies having another saga, I just wish it was about 2/3s as long as it is. Jeff expresses some concern that DBZ might fizzle out, but I think he should rest assured that this show goes out with a bang.

One of the earlier All Systems Goku episodes had Jeff rather vehemently claim that it would take a whole hell of a lot to make him watch Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, after what seemed like everyone claimed they would love it. Something about Jeff being really turned off by the art style. He seems like he's done more than enough research to know that it isn't his thing. I don't know about Dan, but he doesn't seem terribly keen on it either.

I never really watched The Simpsons, I figured I was missing another wrestling reference.

EDIT: I thought they would have more of a reaction to Super Buu killing almost literally every human being, though. I thought that was a hell of a plot point and one of my favorite moments of the Buu Saga.

The next few batches of episodes are where DBZ Kai got real annoying for me and I'm pretty sure they're generally the most reviled of the whole show (at least outside of some filler arcs). Fat Buu was fun and silly - Gotenks is just an annoying shithead and he makes the upcoming story bits feel like they take way too long. For me, things don't actually get all that memorable again until Kid Buu shows up. Gohan's time in the sun is pretty great but way overshadowed by the fact that he completely blows his lead.
