Gamestop announced an great pre-order trade in deal for the Switch. With a $15 Pro membership (which I don't have) I could trade in my unused Mario Kart bundled Wii U for $195 towards a Switch ($330~ w/taxes) which comes out $135. I also trade Super Mario 3d World (I barely played), Wind Waker (Loved), and Twilight Princess (I fell off). I could probably get another $50 off trading them in, so it comes out to $85 for a Switch.

I'm a big Zelda fan, it's a big reason I got the Wii U, and the reason I'm rushing into buying the Switch....just to play Zelda (and any other future 1st party titles.)

So my long winded questions are these:

- Can I beat Twilight Princess in 8 days before the trade in deal expires on the 1/22?

- Is this deal worth it?

- Is it wishful thinking that the Wii U will be emulated in 6 years, probably around the time I'll get the hankering to play wii U games again?

- Is it wishful thinking that the Switch be hacked and it will be the second coming of Homebrew handheld emulation god, the PSP?

- Is it insane to get a Switch just to play the new Zelda?

You may still be entitled to the $30 depending on who and more importantly where you bought the card from. If it was a U.S. based realtor you might have a chance, but I'm no law man so take that with a grain of salt.

You have to be a U.S. Resident according to the settlement site which sucks for Non'muricans. Only in the U.S. will you have someone start a class-action lawsuit because of inexact tech specs...and win.

For those who never played it, I HIGHLY suggest picking up The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. It contains the entirety of Butcher Bay redone in HD, as well as a pretty solid new campaign. It was one of the highlights of last generation early on.....

I completely forgot about Chronicles of Riddick, the nostalgia is hitting me hard. Added.

Have you tried Invisble Inc?

Never was really into turn based stealth, reminds me of the weirdness of Metal Gear Acid series too much. Maybe one of these days when I'm in the mood I'll try it out...

Try out Tenchu Z! I loved that game all the way up until the boss fight on the boat. Couldn't get past it and ended up moving on to something else. I plan on going back and playing it again, though. I remember really loving the game.

From reviews it sounds repetitious as hell like MGSV but the ninja mechanics look pretty cool. When I get the moola, I'll try it out. Too bad the series is kinda dead (last game was on the wii, ugh), I would of liked to see what they would of done with newer consoles.

@kill_la_kill: Never tried Thief? Get on it. 3, errrr, I mean Deadly Shadows is my favorite but Thief 2 to me is the best stealth game ever made.

I'll try 3 again, I kinda remember I gave up on it early on, don't know why. As for 2, I'm debating if the game is too old for my tastes, I did some research on it's mods awhile back but no matter the coat of paint, the mechanics are still really old-school.

For me, Tenchu 2/3 haven't been surpassed as my favourite stealth games. An open world Tenchu game on the scale of something like the Witcher would be so fucking cool.

Looking at this list it might not be for you, but I can't not recommend Shinobido 2 when it comes to stealth games. Its janky as fuck, but also a real gem, at least if you're even remotely into the Tenchu style of stealth.

I completely forgot about Tenchu, games stealth mechanics are little old but I'll fire up PCSX2 and see what happens.

Fallout (Bethesda Series) - Weapons are not silenced but its so fun to VATs head shots without enemies not knowing it. Must steal & hoard everything.

Just a correction, but most of the standard bullet-firing guns in Fallout 4 can have silencers added to them. Everything from pistols to sniper rifles. There are also several perks that deal with stealth directly, and many more that will positively impact a stealth build, including one that rarely uses guns.....

I was just simplifying things, I maxed out most of the Stealth-wise Perks, I still wish they went the Skyrim skills upgrade route but Fallout is Fallout. My only major gripe with Fallout 4 is Bethesda put no time into interior design. I spent 10 hours getting lost in the subways in Fallout 3, fun times. Also the season pass is a joke, if I want to play house i would play minecraft.

I'm stealth game fanatic that has pretty much played the best stealth games into oblivion. I recently save scummed my way through Deus Ex: HRDC to get that ghost pacifist ranking in preparation for Mankind Divided coming out in August . I also can't wait until Dishonored 2, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, and Sniper Elite 4 come out in the next 6 months. With combination of too much time on my hands plus a hunger for recommendations, I'm listing the best stealth series I've played .

Best Stealth Games - Not Ranked

Alien: Isolation - 1st non-combative stealth game that I loved, helps that I love the Alien duology. Season Pass was a letdown, who the hell thought it was a good idea to put a timer counting down on every mission. Some of us like to to take our time stealthing, damn speed runner elite. Damn Sega is too busy producing Sanic Gamez to make a sequel, Sigh.

Batman Arkham (Series) - Invented Stealth Brawler Genre, in some ways I still wish they stuck with Arkham Asylum's stealthly Metroidvania enclosed environment instead of going full-on Zelda for the sequels.

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - Even if your not a fan of the movies, the stealth and narration by Vin Diesel in this game is great. From start to finish you feel like a badass sneaking out of a inescapable jail to playing cat & mouse with the chick from BSG.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Great Stealth RPG, really wish the Alarm system was explained more and the non-lethal weapons were silenced.

Dishonored GOTY - Godly stealth powers galore. No other game lets you hide bodies on chandeliers. Teleporting around guards, getting those innovative non-kill objectives done. DLC ended up giving a great gaiden story that ups the stakes for the world they built.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - I wish I had that eye logo display in real life. Save scummed as a stealthy thief archer with damage compounding while still hidden.

Fallout (Bethesda Series) - Weapons are not silenced but its so fun to VATs head shots without enemies not knowing it. Must steal & hoard everything.

Far Cry (Modern Series) - Start out with a bow & arrow and then move on to silenced sniper rifle to take out bases with NPCs comically freaking out with each shot.

Hitman (Series) - Hiding in plain sight was never so fun. No one questions a man in a giant bird costume, no one! Still need to play Hitman (2016) when it's complete.

Last Of Us - 1st Stealth zombie game? Man, such a great story coupled with a throat slitting simulator. THought it was gonna be another uncharted game, i was so wrong.

Mark Of The Ninja - 2D stealth hasn't been this good since Splinter Cell for the GBA. I wish the ending was a little less depressing.

Metal Gear Solid (Series) - A year more of development and V could have had a better story line, maybe. It's the series that made me fall in love with stealth games and in some ways opened the doors for me in liking anime, yes MGS is anime.

Metro 2033 (Series) - 1st weapon upgrade you get is a silencer, now you are stealthing like the big boys. Without silencers this series is painfully hard against human NPCs. A fully upgraded revolver is god-like, something akin to a Nordberg custom.

Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor - a Batman Arkham clone that added a great insurgency system where you can activate your sleepers at anytime. Turning the tide hasn't been so satisfying.

Rainbow Six: Vegas (Series) - Stacking, silencers on, clear out the room. Single player tactical stealth at it's finest, God! Rainbow 6: Patriots, would have been awesome.

Sniper Elite (Series) - Waiting for that perfect long distance shot while a loud sound muffles your shot, a perfect anatomy lesson with every x-ray slow-mo. Heard 4 is gonna be MGSV in WW2 Italy, I'm not complaining

Splinter Cell (Series) - Leg splits, night vision, and that futuristic rifle. It was to supposed to be the MGS killer that ended up being a more grounded in reality mission based stealth game. I remember grabbing the 1st one when hit PS2, Xbox exclusive my a**. I think changing Sam's voice is what killed the series, that's what it was...

Tomb Raider (Re-Reboot Series) - With that bow Lara is a stealth killing machine, modern metroidvania done right. Rise has you shooting arrows at elite commandos with such godly finesse. Shotgun opens up that boarded up entrance? Of course!

Wolfenstein (Modern Series) - This game caught me by surprise. If you told me that a ultra violent anti-Nazi 1st person shooter had stealth gameplay I would say said you were crazy and a visionary. Old Blood was OK, 1st part was a little uninspired with the halls and halls of cable car super soldiers roaming around.

Honorable Mentions - Knowns / Unknowns, Beaten / Gave up on

Amnesia (Series) - Nice concept but that sanity meter is hella annoying. Beat the 2nd one that was pretty good but pretty short.

Assassin's Creed (Series) - Stealth Series?

Beyond Good & Evil - Great stealth photograph game. The invasion is real.

BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea - Hamfisted stealth gameplay that ended up being pretty satisfying.

Crysis (Series) - Stealth game as long as your invisible, which isn't allot. Still gotta play the 3rd one.

Deus Ex (Old Series) - Gave up on, old-school stealth is unforgiving as hell.

Door Kickers - They made a sequel to Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear (GBA)? This is the next best thing but a little less RTS and allot more tactical.

Elder Scrolls (Series) - Oblivion has boring & unforgiving stealth, skyrim is 50x better in every way.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem - Haven't played, wonder if it's good. Heard it has stealth elements, I could be wrong.

Evil Within, The - Resident Evil inspired horror game with stealth elements where body disposal is dependent on a finite resource...fun?

GoldenEye 007 - Head shots were such a pain, but everything inorganic you shoot explodes, so who can complain. Damn alarms.

Gunpoint - 2D Puzzle stealth game of the finest indie quality.

Haunting Ground - Haven't played, wonder if it's good. Heard it has stealth elements, I could be wrong.

Legend of Zelda - Wind Waker - MGS2 came out a year before. Sneaking in the 1st dungeon, crawling out of a jail via an air vent, fighting a dual sword wielding villain at the end who already knows he's lost. Definitely MGS inspired.

Manhunt (Series) - Never beat, PC version is unplayable.

Metal Of Honor (PS1 Series) - Those missions with the silenced pistol and crossbow defined early stealth shooters for me.

Penumbra (Series) - Never beat, toggling every object was a pain

Rainbow Six (Series) - Gotta save those hostages, never beat a single one of them until Vegas.

Ronin - Gunpoint with kill bill. 2D Puzzle stealth game of the finest indie quality.

Siren (Series) - Total stealth parts were a real pain, got stuck on a escort mission in Blood curse, gave up.

SOMA - Gonna beat one of these days. Probably gonna replay trying a no kill run.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior - Worst Stealth, sniper, shooter series ever. 3 shows some promise.

Stealth Inc (Series) - 2D Puzzle stealth game of the finest indie quality. More puzzle game than stealth game.

Styx - Master Of Shadows - Looks great but man, movement is clunky, hope they fix it in the sequel.

Thief (Series) - Never tried.

Let me know what you guys think, and if you guys have any recommendations of what stealth games I should play.

Just finished RG Gundam Astary and it's glorious...

No Caption Provided

So my question to the Gunpla masses is this: Do I get the Real Grade 'Wing Gundam Zero EW' 1/144 (2014) -OR- the Master Grade 'Wing Gundam Zero EW' 1/100 (2004)? MG is at least 10 years older & $10 more but RG is newer in mechanical design & sticks with only standard stickers. Anyone build one of either of these grades?

@akyho: I guess SAL is the only way to go. From HLJ's description, the VF-31J seems to be fully transformable and has different color molds but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

On the news front, that Graze Ein (1/44) is on sale. For a 1/144 it's pretty big coming up a little shorter than a 1/100.

Anybody know any good sites where I can buy cheap gunpla? I live in New York and have been using Amazon with Japanese merchants offering free shipping via SAL (takes about 20 days to ship). I also bought a Real Grade Astary Gundam on sale from Banzaihobby, just to test the waters but their SAL shipping has no tracking (est. 7 more days until arrival). My only gripe with SAL shipping other than the wait time is that SAL is automatically registered mail so you need to be home to sign for it.

Update:

Holy crap, Bandai is now doing Macross Delta models that fully transform for $40.
