This is what I don't understand. If this was Steam who pulled it - why was EA clearly advertising that Alice: Madness Returns was an "Origin exclusive until the 17th" on their website until now? This is sounding increasingly suspect.
I like Brad, but I also think that his personality is probably the most different out of everyone.
Also, while I like the crew as it is, you also have to accept the fact that one day in time one of them may leave to pursue a different career. If that happens, I would want Jeff Green to be a member because I miss getting regular content from him. Although I do agree that ideally a woman would be cool to join to add a new perspective to the boy's club.
" @Downandout: Watch. Whatever that replacement is, It's going to piss off some people. I now have 5 bucks but I have no card, so I'm shit out of luck. The best thing I can think of is Video Bombcast. THAT would be awesome and worth the money. "
Hahaha. I was just about to say, watch as now a bunch of people say "I subscribed to get the BombCast a week early! You broke your deal and I'm outraged!"
Personally, I subbed to get no ads and the HD videos for Giant Bomb, Screened and Tested and I'm always a week behind on my podcasts anyways so I never cared about this controversy to begin with.
" I don't understand why they are refusing to budge on the t-shirt thing. They've already admitted that due to erratic international shipping costs, they will be lucky if they break even on the flat $10 thing. I bought a sub, but that was the biggest thing that gave me pause as a Canadian. On other forums, I've already heard of tons international fans who are turned off of the annual rate of $60 instead of $50 just for the additional costs of a t-shirt they don't want, especially since there might end up being duty taxes on it as well. To me, that's even dumber than the split podcast idea. "
? As I read it - for non-US it is $50 or $60 + T Shirt. Okay so you can claim internationals lose out on the T-shirt but is it not the case that if you don't want the shirt and tick the "I am not happy to pay $10 shipping" the membership is just $50 and they don't send the shirt? "
Maybe they changed it since then, but if you do not tick that button, then it won't let your sub go through. Either you pay the extra $10 for shipping a t-shirt or you can't sub, which I think may turn some people off.
I agree that if they feel the need to seperate the podcasts, they should do something like this. Let the subscribers get it Tuesday night, and the non-subs get it Thursday or Friday. Seperating the cast into two chunks and then dividing it into 4 feeds sounds needlessly annoying , even for the people making it.

Seriously, I can understand not wanting to or being able to spend the money for a subscription, but which of the following options would you prefer... 1) Having to wait a week for the second half of a podcast and everything else being the same or better. 2) A ton of annoying ads thrown in your face, content that caters to publishers and PR people and fewer videos being made. 3) The site going out of business.
I got a package this weekend related to an old Giant Bombcast, completing a saga that went far too long, and decided to make a thread about it.
I don't tend to follow these forums as I spend my time on another site, but considering the subject matter I thought I would throw a link up here in case anyone was interested.
