I remember getting mildly annoyed with it in chrome, but it never really phased me. I had no issues with it, but as I said above, IMHO the new box is better.
I'm pretty new to Ubuntu, but in my experience flash video of any sort has issues. Adobe just doesn't update the player in Ubuntu as much as it does in mac or win. :(
