I just platinum'd the Japanese version of this a few days ago. I enjoyed it a lot. Considering this won't be out for like 9 months, I may get it again to actually be able to read the story elements. There's not a full-on story mode like in P4D, but there's some.

He was a guest that year. And he talked about how much he loves Twisted Metal. Go figure!

There's a new one coming out next month; Fear Effect: Sedna. It's not the same gameplay style, but I'm looking forward to how it turns out. But, they're also working on this: Fear Effect Reinvented.

Yeah, there's definitely a few ways to approach it. But, like you said, the results don't really change much.
