There are some constructive points made here that we could all benefit from. Unfortunately, all people cannot be pleased at all times, and that will never change. The real problem is - and some have touched on this - when we just start dismissing opinions that we don't agree with and instead focus on the volume of our own agenda. The community and the Giant Bomb crew are both somewhat guilty of that. I have been guilty of that. I don't presume to be beyond the struggle of opinions and emotion, but I do know we need to be more amicable and stop ignoring social issues as though the internet is still some sort of novelty that doesn't affect real-world relationships. I'm speaking about internet communities in general at this point. Giant Bomb's problems are not unique.

Later indeed. Thanks for the heads up on this, fellas, because I really would have felt foolish to miss out.

@Nottle: I believe Toonami showed Neon Genesis at some point, which I always found pretentious and the show has been run so far into the ground that it's buried in the Earth's core at this point, but it's leagues above shit like Yu Yu Hakusho.

Too bad Toonami never showed Gatchaman. There's an episode where an artist adds Jesus' face to Mount Rushmore and the villain uses the mountain to make a giant magma robo-Jesus that destroys cities - not as a joke or anything, just because the show has a loose grasp of American culture.

For the record, I've met the character designer of Blue Sub, Range Murata, and he seemed like a pretty cool guy. He's one of the best anime artists alive in my opinion.

Pfft. Whatever. I was watching subtitled VHS tapes of Tenchi before Toonami even existed. Let me know when the Sci-Fi channel brings back Saturday Anime, then we can talk nostalgia.

I spend a few months away from the site living in the real world and Giant Bomb explodes, tearing apart Whiskey Media. This may simply be a new beginning, but I hope the future isn't so big and bold that we humble fans vanish in its shadow. Also, some other clever metaphor that provides appropriate gravity to the situation.

I'd say half of the wiki here is made up of disappointing game sequels. That's the nature of sequels. It's generally the great games that get another installment and so there are always huge expectations that are rarely met because everyone has a different idea of what made the predecessors great. Sequels are often good games that just don't/can't live up to ideals.

In lieu of that non-answer, I think Postal 2 is absolute shit (R.I.P. Gary Coleman) - not that the first one is going on any platinum lists. Postal 3 looks bad by all accounts as well, but that's probably going to stay in the same abyss of endless development that DNF crawled out of.

Bonus answer: Remember Soldier of Fortune: Payback? The long-awaited generic shovelware follow-up to the quintessential gibs game.

My turn to whine! You can't make a list of stupid-hard video games and not include a Ninja Gaiden game. It's a law. You'll lose your internet license.

Edit: Statement redacted. Internet license re-instated to Giant Bomb. Please don't throw eggs at me.
