The amount of positivity surrounding FFXIV this year is making me irrationally angry. It's not even that I find the praise overbearing or that I don't believe in the hype on some level. It's more that I WANT to play it and just can't realistically carve out the time for it. It's also a matter of me having been down the MMORPG hole before and just not wanting to pay a monthly fee to have a part-time job again. People can point to the free trial and level skips all they want but there still too many games I want to play that are simply put more appealing at the moment than dat MMO grind.
Vinny and J.B. are back! And Drew is in the house! You know what that means! I still think it's crazy that the Drew meme blew up because to me it's still just another great GB gif in a long line of those. I think another reason why the gif took off is that he's an objectively handsome dude. I wish it could've been dubbed Blinkydrew or something other than what it's called. I can think of like 9 Jeff gifs that I personally find funnier than that one but I guess the internet doesn't appreciate Jeff's gorgeous face like we do.
Here are my detailed thoughts on the frame rate discussion: Sometimes I wish Dan would hush. As usual he had no intention on being enlightened on the topic, he just wanted to make it about himself. I'm already not very fond of most email segments on GBcasts these days but this one was insufferable. Honestly why does nearly everything Dan do for this site have to involve this inane self-indulgent dross? I can't stress enough how much I don't want to be negative in comments. I'm just very put off by the way he antagonizes this staff just to feed his ego. I would complain about it more often than I do if I thought it could change anything.
Even though this series has been going for 3 years now I'm always surprised and delighted to see it appear this time of year. Dare I say this is good enough to be premium content. Just don't get any ideas just yet. :D Thanks Abby and Vinny.
You're Code Vein. You probably think this game is about you, you're Code Vein. You probably think this game is about you. Don't you? Don't you? Don't you?
Always love when the OG Beastcrew (aka Best Crew aka Beast Bombers aka Bizz Crizz aka Big Jennifer Garner) get back together. The rapport between those four in particular bring me back to a time when this was still my favorite podcast. Alex is back this week before he goes on a well earned break :(. Until then you know what that means.
People always talk about how Dan plays a character in the videos which has been proven to be false on numerous occasions. Alex is a dude who knows how to play a character. He's always been so masterful about playing up the pessimistic persona and it's one reason why I love him. :D Thanks for the video.
The semantic arguments of classifying times of the day were boring and pointless. Of all the things to take a "hard stance on" I could not give less of an -eff about it especially working a graveyard shift concurrently where time is very irregular. At that point I'd rather hear political talk (which for the record doesn't bother me that much) cuz jeez.
Vinny: "Dan it's okay, just write it down in your journal." I hope this is a real thing because I could stand to hear less of Dan's bs on the podcast. He has said before on this very podcast that he doesn't actually care about anything he asks so that should be an open and shut reason for people to stop encouraging it. Also double dipper e-mails need to be excised from existence, especially if it's just more of your typical food politics. Waffle Fries for president 2019.
Growing up on Guam I was aware of at least two different Jollibees though I never ate at one. It's understandable over there since Filipino residents aren't uncommon but I wasn't aware the franchise had branched out stateside until Jan brought it up on the podcast. I think I was already swept up by the many American fast food chains that peppered food courts that I just never thought to try it. I've always been aware of that style of spaghehhh... but never thought it sounded appealing. From what I remember we did not have a Jack in the Box in Guam back then though that could have changed in the years that followed. Now I eat JitB occasionally and I hate having to ask for no mayo on my burgers. Make no mistake, those tacos are gawd awful, but they're cheap so hey I'll eat em'...
