Pitch for the next Mario game: Mario Goes to Hell

Can you imagine how different talk would be around this thing if, say, the first two games in the package had received the Spyro/Crash treatment, full on remakes?

I really think Jeff's way too dismissive about the new crop of retro-FPS games. Some of them are every bit as good as their 90s inspirations, or better. It's especially weird since making similar complaints about, say, the number of indie games that are sidescrollers would be seen as ridiculous.

@fudgepuppy: Strange, they definitely have shadows, good lighting and just all-around better graphics in their videos on youtube. Maybe it was on low or something due to it being a streamed test? Or they just forgot to bump up the settings. :V

Is it really a metroidvania? It looks like each section is essentially its own level and there's no reason to go back to earlier ones.

Yeah, I'd definitely prefer more group streams at the expense of solo ones. And I hope UPF comes back under lockdown.

Rorie's segment made me reinstall HL2 mods Fistful of Frags and Action HL2 last night and I had a grand old time!

This game looks very cool, but it's also something I'd definitely wait for 1.0 before buying.
