In an interview with 4gamer.net, Yoshinori Ono says there won't be a PC version because the vanilla version was so heavily pirated. He also says a Steam-Only version is out of the question because it would be unfair to regions who don't have access to Steam.

I asked a photoshop buddy of mine to examine the image and he agrees it's been doctored. He says the following are clues, Ken's profile is there in the shadow of Alex's, heavy square artifacting around Alex's name, and Ken's f+mk step kick is the most likely move to easily edit out.

Gootecks did admit to it. I got too excited for my own good. Mods can lock the thread if they want. And I apologize to everyone for adding more spam thread.

Love him or hate him, Gootecks posted this picture on his twitter account.

What do you guys think? Is it photoshoped or is it a real possibility that Alex will join his fellow Third Strike fighters? An Abel vs. Alex match would certainly be interesting.

So I was channel surfing last night when I landed on Rookie Blue and within two minutes into the show, they quoted Dracula's famous line from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I don't have any links to it since I live outside the reaches of hulu and abc but it's episode 9 "Girlfriend of the Year".

Edit: I'll add the hulu link anyways for those are able to watch from them.

So it got me thinking, other than the "I'm quoting a video game because I'm a gamer" scenario, what other TV Shows or Movies have done this?

"8-way square gates": These detect movement in the up, down, left, right, and diagonal directions and you will feel a "corner" in the diagonal directions (or coordinal depending on orientation). These are commonly found on general Japanese arcade machines and usually have a "ball-shaped" top handle. Sanwa and Seimitsu are the popular manufactures of these parts.

which of  these two are better though? I'm sure that's a preference question but i have neither an i'd like to upgrade i'd think feeling corners in all directions would make quarter circle characters a dream to play with...seems like the precision would be dead on...

"
You are exactly correct that these gates are a preference issue. You can get used to either gate with extended play. My advice to most people is dependent on how much force they put into moving the joystick. I suggest square gates to people with light hands and octagonal gates to those with heavier ones.

But there is a very minor advantage and easier learning curve when using certain gates with specific games. Square gates has a slight edge when it is used with games that have "charging" characters like E.Honda or Guile because they rely on finding that down-back corner at any moment. Octagonal gates are more suited to games that require mostly tapping quickly in any single direction which is what Tekken is for the most part.

"2-way gates": these only allow movement in the up/down or left/right directions. Galaga is common game that uses it.
"4-way gates": these only allow movement in the up, down, left, right directions. Pac-Man is the most well known game that uses it.
"8-way circular gates": These detect movement in the up, down, left, right, and diagonal directions and you won't feel "corners" when you spin the stick around. These are commonly found on 90's American arcade machines like Street Fighter 2 and have a "bat-shaped" top handle. HAPP manufactures these joystick parts.
