@dmcredgrave:

They'll be facing sectopods soon and all they have is laser weapons while Enemy Within buffed up the sectopods with 50% damage reduction. If they trigger the sectopod and another group of enemies...they're definitely wiping.

@vocel:

She's new to the game, never bothered to learn the systems, and is constantly in a rush so she's playing quite badly. Also,I think she got a little bit self-conscious and that's not exactly helping her performance.

Alex might as well be completely new to the game because he doesn't seem to remember it and Dan, I don't know about Dan...he seems to be playing intentionally sloppy for laughs but he's also forgotten how much of it works, and just doesn't seem to be very good at this game. Maybe a consequence of save scumming when he plays.

I find it real hard to watch games like this played with a controller. All those jittery janky movements are awful.

After watching all of these both live and archived I put together MY Dream Team, most likely to eat a Chicken Dinner:

TEAM BrAxViDa

Alex - A pretty stable defensive player.

Brad - A good survivor, likely to be the last man standing (in this team).

Dan - Probably GB's best murderer aiming wise. Can be very agressive and wreck other squads if they are off guard.

Vinny - Very uneven but can get a few kills, he and Dan can also come up with some spectatular vehicle stuff, so that's a bonus.

Tactics

I would put them in battle teams of two, Alex and Brad take point with Vinny and Dan following closely behind. They don't land in the middle of nowhere noir in the middle of a hot zone but quite central. They loot up to a moderate level with at least one AR per guy, a helmet, backpack and vest.

Other notes

I switched in Alex and benched Jeff. Reason being Jeff is not that good at shooting and is more of a lone wolf death matcher guy, which usually gets him killed early on.

Putting Dan anywhere near a dream team is folly. He loots forever, but poorly. He doesn't really know shit about the game despite dozens of hours in it, he is a garbage teammate that will leave you to die if it means picking up one more bullet that he won't fire, and he is just flat out a poor player. Brad consistently makes the best plays, with Jeff behind him.

Alex is a wild card in that he is capable of putting in good work, but spends too much time in the bathroom. I think those three guys are the best GB has to offer for a squad. Between Ben, Vinny, and Abby, it's a tossup who to take for your fourth. Maybe Vinny because you know even if they lose it will be fun.

Ben and Abby are terrible.

I appreciate the guys trying to spice things up by dropping into places with lots of other players rather than looting for thirty minutes and then immediately dying but I feel like they're going about it in the wrong way. They drop amongst other teams but they don't drop close enough together to help each other and someone always isn't in on the game plan; Dan in previous streams and Brad in this one. Trying for punch deaths rather than a gun also isn't helping when the other team always has support on the way and the GB guys don't.

What they need to do is make sure everyone is in on the game plan, drop together and near another team, and then loot as fast as they can to get a weapon. Once they have a gun, start hunting other players and do some looting along the way. Killing another player that just looted four building is a much quicker and more exciting way of getting loot than looting those four building yourself. They want spice but their priorities seem to be locked on looting, but if they prioritized killing (leave punching a dude to death to only when you absolutely have to), they get both.

I don't expect any where near pro-game play by any means but I would love to see the GB guys hunting another team rather than what we usually get which is another team rolling up on them and murdering them usually before they even realize what's happening.

They should rename this video segment from "Murder Island" to "Getting-Murdered Island".

It's kind of like if a website was devoted to playing and talking about board games. A live stream starts on that website where the members play chess against each other for a couple hours.

But none of them know how to play chess properly.

Not bashing the website, obviously post whatever. But for me in particular it's not engaging to watch people play something poorly and without any real clue how it works.

In a standard battlegrounds game for me, I get around 6 to 10 kills per person on my team. Those kills are distributed throughout the match, and then if I don't win it's because I was outplayed or pinched somewhere on the map by other players (or I never found a good long range scope). If this is a recurring segment, y'all need to practice combat and lot more a learn how to utilize your full team for every fight. Can't be trying to pop energy drinks while your other teammates are seconds from getting gunned down.

"Not bashing the website" the guy says while he's bashing the website and bragging about how well he plays the game.

Dan needs to learn to communicate what he's finding better. He found a few level 2 backpacks and didn't call them out when the other guys were still looking for backpacks and he found an AKM and switched it for a shotgun without telling them when neither Brad or Alex had an AR.

That last stream Vinny and Abby were watching while the rest played and that seemed like a good compromise in that they aren't playing but can still call out the shit Dan was doing; like picking up all those sights and looting while the rest were in a firefight.
