Newfoundland is pronounced "Newfunland" or "Newfinland" and not "Newfinlind." When most people say a word that ends in "land" they always shorten it so it's something like "lind" but for Newfoundland that isn't the case and the "land" is full pronounced and not shortened.

They say that sort of stuff because they all know their jobs and livelihoods are being threatened. YT and Twitch are so much more popular than this site, so they all lash out with snide comments because they know their days are numbered. Jeff is probably the only one on GB that could leave, start a Patreon, Twitch, and be successful. The rest would/could never do it. YTers and Twitch streamers are out there busting their ass, posting new content, or streaming 5 days a week, and in some cases EVERY day. The west coast office could barely put out a podcast and a quicklook once a week.

Those oh so hard working streamers sitting down to their computers and hooking up a mic and getting hundreds of dollars in donations an hour to play video games. Must be like working in the coal mines doing that 5 days a week.

Those GB guys must be horribly lazy only putting out a few hours of videos a week compared to the dozens of hours of new and great content streamers and youtubers put out.

@chillicothe:

That response, like your other comment, barely makes makes any sense. What are you even on about?

Man, I forgot how unearthly DRY this series is. Large stretches of no music in areas where it desperately needs some sounds, dialogue-as-writers-method-of-explaining-to-the-player-vital-information...even the emotional scenes are reading the phone book.

Where are these long stretches with no music? I certainly haven't noticed them.

"dialogue-as-writers-method-of-explaining-to-the-player-vital-information" No they don't. They use the characters dialogue in the very beginning to explain some things. It's not what the dialogue is like throughout. If you had played these games at all you would know that. If you haven't played the games where do you get off saying "Man, I forgot how unearthly DRY this series is."

I'm betting you're talking about the recap when you're talking about the emotional scenes. That recap isn't great but why would it mean anything to you anyway if you haven't played the games and dislike them as much as you seem to?

Most of these kids would seriously be feeling the effects of the cold if not hypothermia after spending so much time outside in freezing temperatures, wind and unheated buildings and the mines. None of them are wearing gloves, only one is wearing a hat, and their winter gear in general looks pretty skimpy.

Sam, while soaking wet right out of the bath and in just a towel, gets tied up in an unheated basement. She has dry clothes to change into but they certainly don't look very warm. I don't think she'd be in a position to run after Mike and would probably be bundled up by the fire trying to get her core temperature up. Mike would be getting seriously cold by the time he makes it to the sanatorium.; adrenaline is not going to help him forever. I think he'd be mildly hypothermic by the times he makes it back to the lodge. His hands would be completely numb and unable to hold that gun or machete, he be shivering hard too. He'd likely be suffering some mental impairment and reduced motor function from the cold as well.

I will pick this up as soon as it's out on Xbox. It's weird to me that so many "party games" like this come out on PC. I can't imagine there are that many people that have four PC controllers, or that want that many people crowding around their PC. I know that some people connect PCs to their TV (i used to), but I assume that's the minority? Just seems strange to release this on PC before consoles, but I supposed it's just easier that way.

It has online multiplayer and you make some weird assumptions.

Have they not heard someone say "paint the windows" before? It means the window frame and trim.
