If you are curious what community members are adventuring on your platform of choise, Check out the "Pawn recruitment thread"

Pawn inclinations guide:

You're pawn's behavior will change according to the actions you take, below you can view the actions and their linked inclinations. You can manually change the inclinations by using potions purchased from Johnathan in the Encampment at 250RC a piece.

  • Scather: Enter battles with enemies as they appear.
  • Medicant: Prioritize safety by healing your hero or removing their status ailments, using the 'Come' order during battle also helps.
  • Mitigator: Bring down weak targets first.
  • Challenger: Focus on long-range attackers and enemies with support abilities.
  • Utilitarian: Use support skills and enchantments.
  • Guardian: Use the 'Help' and 'Come' commands often, avoid using 'Go'.
  • Nexus: Quickly heal your pawns and remove their status ailments.
  • Pioneer: Use the 'Go' command when you're not in combat.
  • Acquisitor: Pick up items.

How to use the potions? You can have 2 inclinations set at a time, if you a drink inclination drink that iss already active then that will be set to top priority. Drinking 1 potion of a inclination not yet listed will place it at 2nd priority.

Tip1: Avoid Guardian at all costs, both ranged and melee characters alike will spend most of the fights bum nuzzling the arisen without even drawing their weapons.

Tip2: There is a THIRD inclination affecting your pawn's behavior. if using potions it will be whatever has been most recently knocked off the list; if not you can still check out what this hidden 3rd inclination is by using the knowledge chair at any inn. This will be the respectively last priority making non-combat inclinations like pioneer and acquisitor quite effective.

Starter tips:

Do the Mercedes escort quest as soon as it shows up, it will enable 5 successive quests with a good story and reward you with a great mid-late game shield. This quest is easily missed as it disappears as soon as you finish the everfall exploration upon arriving in Gran Soran.

All the chests have a specific loot table most which it has been documented since. Loot is not decided till the very moment you open a chest so saving just before looting can save you a few return trips.

Does anyone on PSN happen to employ Pioneer + Aquisitor by any chance? One of the first pawns i hired from this thread Flexxers used to have it which was pretty awesome but nowadays hes using regular fighting inclinations.

Also 2 things i noticed

- So many people with Guardian/Medicant pawns! How can anyone play with this?

- Its super annoying that the game does not filter out DD pawns from the DA game. When i hire someone i want to give that player that warm fluffy feeling from being chosen. When 98% of the people in the search results have not even touched the game in the past 6 months it kinda defeats the purpose.

My pawn has been hired all of once and it was thanks to this thread. Any tips on becoming more popular?

Shes a Fighter pawn with Pioneer/Challenger inclinations and gets the first dibs on all the loot we find.

Got some good mid-late game gear at my level 20's just from accidentally stumbling in there while on a escort.

This only affects imported saves if that matters anything in your situation.

I've got a build going with my pawn "Momiji" right now and I'm building her up as a straight up pure tank. She has done alright for herself so far. If anyone needs her you can either send a friend request to "Demoskinos" on PS3 or just search for her by name. =)

Sweet, are you intending to go soldier from 1 trough 100 or do you intend to mix it up for a better balance in stats?
