I'm just going to say that at least Sniper Elite V2 was amazingly dumb fun in co-op. There was even like a horde mode where you just slaughter endless waves of dudes, trucks, and even tanks. It's so over the top and goofy it's pretty fun (even with all the assists off).
It's really weird to me that they still think Geometry Wars is better than ME2 as a game to go back to. I've played it long after it was a big deal and Geometry Wars is just ok and not a game I would ever go back to. I have no idea why it's so sacred to them in any way.
Also, I always chuckle at best MP category for games they all (mostly) stopped playing win the award or make top three. 2/3 of the staff hasn't played OW recently enough to even remember the characters in that award section.
Interesting article, I can't say that I really understand why it hurts so much for someone who knows that they're bad to be called bad. I'm bad at drawing and whenever I'm playing some game like Pictionary or something, I'm the weak link and I know it but it doesn't stop me from having fun. People pointing it out to me isn't some soul-shattering revelation so why does it bother others that much? Maybe I have a thick skin from playing sports but I just don't see how people have such social anxiety for strangers who they'll never see again (that goes for more than just gameplay but insults as well).
"If Overwatch sometimes feels a little bit clumsy, with its too-complex level design and its too-ambitious class structure."
Did people just skip this part? I can kind of see the class problem but "too-complex level design" seems incredibly dense. If anything, the current maps are far too simple and predictable to be interesting for very long and thus the classes HAVE to be overly ambitious to make up for it.
If OW didn't have extremely high class diversity, the simple maps would become boring and the game itself would be uninteresting within hours.
