@hamst3r: I don't read manga these days, but the one anime I watched that got cut short is Spice and Wolf. I'm not sure if the manga is complete - it was a light novel first - but if witty banter around trade and economy in a fantasy historical European setting between a merchant and a fox girl sounds like your thing, then that's the manga for you!
For everyone else, has anyone tried any of the new shows that started airing? None of them really jumped out at me from their VRV descriptions.
