According to Naughty Dog, the season pass for The Last of Us will apply some tweaks (called "bonuses") to give you an advantage in the campaign. They allow you to reload faster, heal faster etc. I really think season passes are a good value if you plan on sticking with a game, but to give you weird little boosts like that seems like it could undermine some of the design of the game.

So I've got two questions:

First, is there any good reason to use "bonuses" like this on initial playthrough?

Second, I haven't really encountered this specific scenario on a ps3 before so I am wondering how easy it will be to not apply the season pass if I don't want those bonuses. I know for some 360 games I have just deleted the download and re-downloaded in later but I'm not sure how that works with psn.

I'm still having this issue only with the Giantbomb video player. The choppy videos are accompanied by a cpu spike into the 90% range. Anybody figured this out yet? It's definitely not an extension thing for me

I have some memory of this too. Maybe it was on On the Spot or something.

I've sort of been excited for this day to come for years just to hear the news stories about crazy doomsdayers doing crazy doomsdayers things. So far I've only heard this little bit about some cult trying to spread hysteria in China. Hopefully there's not too much looting but I hope to hear some interesting stuff.

The thread title says it. I had the game tell me I had a pair when I also had a straight and tell me I only had a high card instead of a pair. I've never heard of a game messing up poker scripting before so I feel like I'm crazy. Has anybody else dealt with this?

@Lukeweizer: Sometimes you get like a random $20 gift card from walmart or something. Amazon sometimes gives stuff away when you preorder stuff too. I looking for stuff like that more than just straight up sales but I don't have high hopes

I've been googling around to see if I can find a deal where this game would come with a gift card or something but so far I haven't found anything. Have any of you guys found any deals for this game yet? I'm specifically looking for the 360.

I do all my writing on a typewriter because I can't handle the distractions of a computer. No word count there unfortunately! And I sure as heck don't want to count them manually. But this sounds super interesting. I'll probably try to give it a go next year when I'm a little more prepared and hopefully less busy.
