I think they will sacrifice Chloe, but there's a strong chance they'll swing to kill the bay. Won't be in chat, someone there must remind Alex that Haden "Vaping some dank OG bud" lives in that town;)

The nightmare sequence made the episode. I've had really severe depressive episodes and the visualization of doubt, self hatred and skewed introspection really hit home for me. I really like how it showed the mental toll the ramifications of time travel was having on Max. Even though you erased certain timelines and decisions, they still weighed heavy on the character's psyche. It made the alt-Chloe subplot more meaningful, the experience of that point is still ripping at her. It was good that the diner-Max put a spotlight on some of your behavior. You did manipulate people into doing things, despite the best of intentions.

For me it called out a sequence I had with Chloe not long before, when you are trying to convince her to not go into the Vortex club party. When I was given the choice in how to get through to her I chose the "Jefferson hurt me" answer. I went with this answer not in the frame of mind of sharing a traumatic experience with someone I cared about, but what would disarm her emotionally enough to stop. I cared about her, but ended up manipulating her emotionally, in my eyes for her "own good". Its an interesting grey area that made me reflect on all the times I used her time powers in conversations throughout the game.

Its a flawed game, but I really love it (possibly one of my favorite gaming experiences ever). The first episode is pretty slow, but it picks up after that. The way it is presented it seems a slight, cute, hipster game; but it hides one of the most emotionally brutal games I've played. A lot of the events and themes of the game get pretty damned dark, I left certain episodes emotionally exhausted.

@sweep: true, but the guys have a good balance of joking around and still giving weight to the more serious elements. Still feels a bit weird watching them get bothered by some of the serious stuff though.

I agree with what everybody's feelings are. After playing Life is Strange this week, it should be moved into a play date and the weekly choice can go to something else. It'll serve the format and make everyone happy.

I'll put my enthusiastic support into finishing Life is Strange in the premium play date format. I love GBeast's content and want to support the guys!

I just beat the game. When headed to get the photo from Warren I thought it was kind of strange how many people they gave you the option to save, and then the various choices with Frank/Joyce/Warren considering the whole point was just leading up to you erasing it from happening. I chose the save Chloe ending for my actual save, then went back and chose the other ending while mopping up the last photos I needed. I have to say I enjoyed the sacrifice Chloe ending more. Seeing all the photos being re-written hit pretty hard.

Another weird thing at the end was Chloe pointing out Rachel Amber. I'm really surprised there was never any attempt to save her. I kind of thought it would end with Max sacrificing herself to save Rachel so Rachel & Chloe (or Frank, lol) could go on.

Yeah, the re-written photos was the hardest hit in the series. Didn't really expect it to have an effect on me as much as it did. Also, all the music for that scene was perfect (a feeling I have with most of the soundtrack)

@treetrunk: I feel similar in how you interpret the ending. The resetting/ choices didn't bother me, with time travel I expected things like this. I felt that ending was fine, except for what finally happens with that Chloe.

Chloe dies with no memories with Max and dies basically alone, angry and frustrated. It's a really rough, kinda mean-spirited way to leave a character we grew to care about.

Life is Strange

need to see more Vinny playing as the time-traveling "everyday hero/monster".

The guys were great during the stream. Really hope they do play it again, at least through episode 2.
